Cajaput essential oil originates in Indonesia, and is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the tree.

This oil belongs to the melaleuca group which includes all of the eucalyptus essential oils, clove essential oil, and Myrtle essential oil. The main properties shared by all members of this family is their potential ability to combat infection. Its active principles are cineol (between 45%-65%), terpineol, pinene, and other aldehydes.

Because of its penetrating camphor-like aroma, cajaput essential oil is great to use in steam inhalations.

This essential oil also has a history of being used as an insecticide and parasiticide, particularly to repel lice and fleas.

Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil is known for its refreshing and sinus-clearing scent, and for its potential antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, decongestant, and expectorant properties. 🍃

Eucalyptus Globulus (a.k.a blue gum) is steam distilled from the leaves of the tree and produces an oil that is pale yellow.

🚫Avoid this oil near the nostrils of infants and young children as there is a risk of spasm of the glottis due to the cooling effect on the respiratory system🚫
