Sole Comfort exists because heel skin is not like the rest of you.

It is several times thicker, it takes your weight all day, and when it dries out it loses the flexibility to handle that, so it splits. A body lotion that works fine on your arms simply cannot get through it.

So this is built on emu oil rather than a water-based lotion, with tea tree oil and menthol. Richer, stays in the cracks longer, and absorbs rather than sliding around on the floor.

Deep Heat is the most involved thing we make, and the ingredient list explains why people either love it or find it a bit much.

Pure emu oil as the base. Then menthol and capsicum for the cooling-then-warming sensation, plus MSM, glucosamine and boswellia.

It is a cosmetic massage cream. We do not make claims about pain or inflammation, and we are not going to. What it does is warm up nicely while you massage, and absorb rather than sitting there.

A question we get from formulators, and the answer is genuinely no.

There is no separate bulk grade. The oil in the 18.9 litre drum is the same AEA Certified Fully Refined Grade A oil that goes into our 30ml retail bottles and into every cream and lotion we make.

Some suppliers keep a lower grade for bulk on the assumption that nobody downstream will check. We would rather have one standard and one answer.

One thing emu oil is genuinely good at, and we can say this without any hedging: it is a very good massage oil.

Good slip while you are working, so your hands move over shoulders, backs and legs without dragging. Then it absorbs, so nobody is left greasy afterwards. Most massage oils give you one or the other.

Our Deep Heat cream takes the same emu oil base and adds menthol and capsicum, if you want the warming version.

0.075% vitamin E.

That is the entire label. The vitamin E is there as a natural antioxidant, to keep the oil stable on your shelf, and at that concentration it is doing a preservation job rather than a skincare one.
