Wispy Hybrid Lashes with extra spice 🔥

Hybrids are super cool because they can be done so many different ways.

Hybrid lashes are 50% volume fans and 50% classic lashes!

A typical hybrid set of mine would consist of 50% 0.15 cc and 50% 3D fans of a 0.05 diameter. Maybe 5D if my client wanted something a little more… 😘🤌🏼 BUT…

For this set I used 50% 0.15 cc and 50% 0.07 D curl 10D from .beaute 🥳 making it a thick spicy hybrid… despite the 10D lashes, it is still 100% a hybrid lash set! 🥰

A newer podcast I got into is ~ which I’m actually apart of her business coaching program since November now! I started doing one of her 3 day challenges which led me to her podcast and then to the business coaching. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her now! 😍

is my newest favourite lady, she’s a genius 😍 since listening to her wise words, my self confidence has sky rocketed and I’m loving having my internal biases challenged.

I used to utilize this account to showcase my skills & services as an esthetician & lash tech. As many of you know, I actually don’t offer services anymore! (Except for a select few!)

This is because I simply don’t have time 🤷🏻‍♀️ Working on the growth of Pride Beauty Lounge has always been my goal; working with and helping my team, marketing and all the other jobs that come with being a business owner!

However, I have so much knowledge and information I’d like to share to everybody 🤗 My team, & other business owners & beauty professionals!

I’ve debated even starting this because I have so many GEMS of knowledge and info that over the last few years is worth tens of THOUSANDS of dollars, that I’ve paid for from courses, books, programs, mentors, coaches, etc. I want to share my knowledge!!

When we sign up to be beauty professionals like hair stylists or lash techs or whatever, I’m sure most of us didn’t know that it also meant that we needed to be content creators, a marketing genius, an accountant, and whatever else we be doing out here 😮‍💨

We are wayyyyyy too hard on each other and ourselves.

This might be a controversial opinion but ITS OK TO MESS UP.

Don’t get me wrong, impact is more important than intentions however can we just take a step back and realize it’s okay to not know everything and recognize we WILL fk s**t up sometimes?

Literally nobody is perfect and when it comes to inclusion and social justice, it can go wayyyy over anybody who isn’t a full time activist or academic’s head sometimes.

What is important is taking accountability for our actions, fixing the situations we fked up in, and educating ourselves so it doesn’t happen again and continuously educating ourselves!

I’ve always been criticized for this; not doing things I don’t want to do.

I feel like I’ve always had pretty good boundaries which is why I don’t do things I don’t want to; and that makes people mad! But people get mad when they can’t cross your boundaries.

You set your own boundaries. It is up to YOU if you break them or not. People will try and break them and cross them regardless of you having them or not. It’s up to you to uphold them.

It is OKAY to say no! Say no!!!

Acne, scars, texture, hair, etc. You don’t need to hide them.
They do not take away from your beauty.

As someone who has PCOS which means I have acne, acne scars, and excess facial hair… and also an esthetician.. it’s been a weird journey of acceptance.
I’ve felt like my career is about clear skin & hairlessness as someone who is paid to take hair away & work on clearing others skin.
Shouldnt I have clear skin and be hairless too? Be an example of the services I offer?

No. I am not in this industry to clear skin or make people hairless. I am here to assist others with their confidence & self-expression. Which means I need to also be working on my confidence & express my self the ways I see fit! And maybe this means I show off my acne scars and neck hair!

There’s nothing wrong with normalizing our facial hair acne scars. Even if society & the beauty industry tell us we need to be smooth and hairless and clear and youthful skin..

However you want your skin to look, however you are okay with it looking ~ that is YOUR journey.

I love skincare don’t get me wrong but I do it because I want healthy skin, I want to prevent skin cancer (my dad had skin cancer), and I love doing it as a self-care ritual and participating in a self-love activity.. there’s so many other reasons to indulge in it rather than fitting in society’s lens of what we need to look like.

There’s my rant for the day 🌈
