A new chapter begins! 💕

I'm excited to share that starting September 1, you'll find me at my new salon home:

I'll continue offering the same nail services, private education, workshops, and training sessions you've come to know me for, just in a beautiful new space.

I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to welcome both my wonderful clients and future students there.

Some people think beautiful nails have to be long 💅

I couldn't disagree more.

Some of my favourite sets have been on short, natural nails. When they're properly structured, beautifully shaped, and suited to the client's hands, they can look just as elegant as any long extension.

Not everyone wants length, and not everyone needs it.

The goal isn't to give every client the same nails. It's to create nails that fit their lifestyle while still looking beautiful and lasting for weeks.

I'm taking a short break from **August 17-23** to spend some personal time away. 💕

One of the things I love most about nail art is that there's rarely just one way to create a design 💅

Ombré nails are a perfect example.

Depending on the look you're after, you can create a gradient using gel polish, coloured builder gels, ombré sprays, pigments, an airbrush, or even hand blending techniques. Each method has its own advantages and creates a slightly different finish.

That's one of the reasons nail artistry never gets boring. You're constantly learning new techniques and finding better, faster, or more creative ways to achieve the same beautiful result.

Which ombré technique is your favourite? 💅

Two clients can leave your studio with the exact same products, the exact same application, and the exact same aftercare advice... and still have completely different experiences.

One comes back after four weeks with beautiful retention. The other notices lifting after ten days.

That doesn't automatically mean something went wrong.

Everyone's nails are different. Lifestyle, work, hobbies, nail chemistry, and even how you use your hands every day can all affect how long your manicure lasts.

That's why there isn't one product that magically works for everyone. Long-lasting nails are always the result of choosing the right products, using the right technique, and understanding what's best for each individual client.

The part of the manicure clients rarely notice 👀

When someone compliments a beautiful set of nails, they're usually looking at the colour, the sparkle, or the design.

What they don't see is everything that happened before that.

The prep. The cuticle work. Building the correct structure. Refining the shape. Making sure the apex is exactly where it needs to be.

Those aren't the glamorous parts of a manicure, but they're the reason it lasts.

Beautiful nails aren't created when the colour goes on. That's just the finishing touch. The real work happens long before that.

One of the biggest nail myths I still hear is that you should remove your gel every now and then so your nails can "breathe."🙃

The truth is, your nails don't actually breathe. They're made of dead keratin cells, just like your hair.

What really affects the health of your natural nails isn't wearing gel. It's how the product is applied, maintained, and removed.

When I see damaged nails, it's rarely because someone wore builder gel for too long. It's usually because of improper removal, lifting that was picked off, or products that weren't applied correctly in the first place.

Healthy nails aren't about taking breaks from gel. They're about choosing the right products and having them applied and removed properly.

I love hand-painted nail art...

But I also love working efficiently. 💅😉

Nail art stickers are one of my favourite ways to create detailed, eye-catching designs without spending unnecessary time on every appointment.

There are so many beautiful designs available now, and with proper application and a quality top coat, they wear beautifully.

Sometimes the smartest technique isn't the most complicated one. ✨
