The Nail Room is a private in-home professional nail care salon The Nail Room is where you go to have beautiful , natural looking gel nails that last.
Whether it's for a special occasion or as part of your normal nail care routine, nail tech/owner Susan Young has over 20 yrs experience and takes the time to meticulously craft enhancements which are natural looking, thin, strong and lasting. We are not your average nail salon! Enjoy relaxing and super detailed pedicures in our DeStress zero gravity pedi chair complete with heat and massage. You can watch TV, read a magazine, work on your laptop or snooze. We take sanitation very seriously. After each service is completed (in accordance with the requirements of the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia and Public Health protocols) all metal and selected plastic implements are washed with soap and water, then placed for 20 min in PreEmpt RTU High Level Disinfectant (Hospital Grade), rinsed and stored in an airtight container. We change the PreEmpt liquid every 2 weeks as required. Any items that cannot be disinfected such as buffers, emery boards, non-metal files and toe separators are discarded or given to the client. We do NOT keep used tools/files to be used for the clients’ next visit. Storing used (dirty) tools in boxes or plastic containers is not a hygienic practice in our opinion! Fresh, clean towels are used for each client. Towels are washed after each use with detergent and bleach.
