🎨 I have three pieces in ART 2026!

I’m excited to be participating in this year’s art show at the Deep River Library Gallery, featuring work from more than 30 local and area artists.

And I’d love to invite you to the Meet the Artist reception this Monday evening!

I’ll have three pieces in the show:

☕ Karen’s Happy Place — a mixed-media piece inspired by a moment at a café in Goderich

🫖 Abundance — an oil painting of three stacked teacups with tea pouring from one to the next

🐶 Sweet Dreams — an oil painting of a sleeping golden retriever puppy

It’s always exciting to see a piece leave the studio and become part of an exhibition — and even better when I get to share that experience with people I know.

After three weeks of wearing gel, nails need most of the old product removed, shortening and more product to rebalance. Then a buff before new polish can be applied.
This service is longer and requires more product.
Many times there are broken nails that need to be replaced. Ideally infills are two weeks.
At three week’s generally nails start to break as the stress point is grown and moved. After that there can be lifting and breaking.
For this reason there is new pricing to reflect the extra work and product for gel nails longer than three weeks.

Chrome on soft pink is a nice option when you want to level up your colour. Ask me about chrome options at your next appointment. If you are new you can book an appointment on Vagaro.

If you normally have no problem with your gel nail overlays but suddenly now you are
It’s not your imagination it’s the extreme cold weather
Outside when our hands and nails get cold the nail plate can contract and pull away from the gel especially noticeable at the tip.
So what do we do about that ?
We take off the lifting and use a form. This works especially well on nails with a little length
So in the second and third picture you can see we still have our own nail but it’s reshaped so it isnt curling away from the product. Its also capped with a little product to reduce the chance of this happening again.
Now if you go home and file your nails it may separate again 🙃
