“It’s the start of another new year.
Better call the newspaper up.”

Turns out… we’re still here 😅

Jackie and I are kicking off year 10 at The BBQ Emporium, and honestly—we’re just really grateful.

Over the past nine years, we’ve had the privilege of serving the BBQ community right here in Deer Lake, across Canada, and somehow… 77 countries and counting 🌎🔥

That part still feels wild.

A lot has changed—our business, the industry, the size of the spice wall—but our love for BBQ hasn’t budged an inch.

Thanks to your support, we’re proud to be the largest independent BBQ retailer in Atlantic Canada, carrying brands like Big Green Egg, Traeger, Yoder Smokers, Pit Boss, Jackson Grills, and Blaze—with Oklahoma Joe’s and Char‑Broil joining the party this year.

Something for every budget, every backyard, and every level of obsession.

We’ve also grown our flavour lineup to 400+ rubs and sauces, welcomed Craig Turpin to the team, and expanded our hours so we’re now open Tuesday–Saturday, 10–6—because BBQ emergencies are real.

And yes… we’re bringing the heat again 🔥
Mel Chmilar Jr. of Darkside of the Grill is coming back to NL for our 3rd annual Meat, Heat & Eat events in Deer Lake and St. John’s.

Our partnership with Jimmy Lee Stokes keeps rolling too, with our products now on shelves at Sobeys, Foodland, Dominion—and more locations coming soon across Atlantic Canada, Ontario, and Alberta.

We’ve got a lot on the go for 2026, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.

If you’ve been part of the journey so far—thank you.
If you’re new here—welcome aboard.

And if you don’t mind… give us a share, tell a friend, and stick around.

We’re just getting warmed up 🔥
