Since you guys have seen me posting a bit about my new adventure as a business owner I thought I'd share a little information on independent dental hygiene and what I'm hoping to achieve with my clinic!

Independent dental hygiene practices offer a personalised approach to oral health care, prioritising the individual needs of each patient.
Practitioners focus on preventive care, providing comprehensive cleanings, assessments, and education tailored to the unique circumstances of every client.
You maintain a relationship with your regular dentist for anything needing to be fixed. This clinic is for dental cleanings, and I am able to communicate with your regular dentist in case I see any potential issue they will need to fix, or if you are wanting to have your regular dentist check up!
Dental hygiene practitioners can also be a good option for people waiting to find a regular dentist and wanting to get in for the cleaning portion a bit sooner.

Tooth House was started in 2025 by me after completing a degree in Health Science from Thompson Rivers University, and acquiring my Dental Hygiene Practitioner status with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals.

This small, one on one clinic provides a quiet stress-free environment, without the pressures/smells/sounds of a busy general dentistry office. I offer direct billing to insurance and have enrolled to accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

The smaller space allows for more ease and comfort for individuals with unique needs such as: young families, the elderly, people who may be nervous, and people with disabilities.

If you feel out of place or overwhelmed in your usual dental setting, or prefer a more individualized experience, Tooth House Dental Hygiene may be worth a try!
