It's been ages since I last posted! Starting late August of last year, I went back to school to do a one-year super intensive Natural Nutrition Diploma program with Canadian School of Natural Nutrition Edmonton. I took the Enhanced Clinical Studies which involved 250 hrs of additional practicals on top of theory courses plus 10 case studies 🤯 on a variety of body/mind/spirit imbalances, including skin issues.

Learned a ton and definitely need to look back at my notes & books to soak it all in. Needless to say, I had to take a big step back from other pursuits (incl. Belle Bleu) and take a much-needed brain break. ☺️ There were definitely times during the program when I questioned if I could get through it (it's that intense and with even a part-time job and other life responsibilities, it was challenging to keep up)...but happy to say that I stuck through it and got my diploma this past September 🙏😄

I've been using the CocoShea Body Butter w/ Frankincense, Lavender & Evening Primrose Oil 🌿 lately and I love how smooth and moisturized my face feels the next morning after using it overnight! 💦 Also makes it so much easier to comb my hair (I just rub a bit on my palms and rub the butter over my hair strands 💆‍♀️).

Interesting fact 💁🏽 Omega-3 fatty acids (found in fatty fish like salmon, sardines and anchovies 🐠) strengthen the skin cell membrane, helping the skin retain moisture. Meanwhile, evening primrose has a form of omega-6 fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) which helps to lower inflammation (seen as swelling & redness) throughout the body, incl. your skin.

Bought new supplies to prep for my very first market! First time buying from New Directions Aromatics – the only company I found that sold glass jars that will hold more than 4oz of product. 😄 Great selection of products, including crude shea butter, and great with updates on package delivery.
