To keep your scalp and extensions healthy:

• Wash every 3 days to keep the scalp clean and refreshed.
• Always create a rich lather with your shampoo and use a scalp massager to boost circulation and deep-clean the roots.
• Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths, then massage the leftover product into your scalp-this step matters!
• Focus on new growth and condition all the way to your extension attachment points.
• I use silicone-lined beads, so don’t stress about slippage-unless your scalp is too oily.
• Treat your ends weekly with a nourishing hair mask to keep everything hydrated and silky.

Wearing hair extensions? Here are three important things to keep in mind:

1. Swap out aerosol dry shampoos for a powder-based option. Aerosol sprays are full of alcohol, which can dry out both your extensions and natural hair.
2. Show your scalp some love. Using a scalp massager when you wash your hair helps keep your scalp healthy, which is key for long, beautiful hair.
3. Moisture is everything. Invest in a good quality hair mask and make it part of your routine. When you apply conditioner, gently rub it into your scalp too. A healthy scalp = healthier hair.

Healthy Growouts + root touch ups.

Let’s talk healthy home care for hair extensions-because what you do between appointments matters just as much!

Here’s what a solid home care routine should include:
1.Brushing daily with a proper extension brush. Top to bottom!
2. Sleeping with hair in a loose braid or ponytail to prevent tangling.
3. Washing 1–2x/week with sulfate-free products, and always follow with conditioner mid to ends, top to ends + massage conditioner onto scalp.
4. Drying roots fully before after wet to protect your bonds/wefts and avoid matting.
5. Using heat protectant before any heat styling.
6. Regular hair mask conditioning every 2–3 weeks.
7. Avoiding oil-heavy products at the root (they can break down adhesive or slip beads).

Also, keep in mind:
You can expect to lose around 2–3 inches of length over the wear of your extensions due to trimming, natural shedding, and long-term wear. That’s totally normal!

Your home care is what keeps your extensions looking flawless, comfortable, and long-lasting.
