Fill | Care-First Auto Insurance: Data Platform - Integration and Technical Requirements Survey 10/07/2026

Dear CRMTA Members,

As Alberta prepares for the implementation of Care-First on January 1, 2027, The Care-First team is working to understand how the future Care-First Data Platform can best support healthcare practitioners and help make information exchange with insurers simpler, more secure, and more efficient.
An important part of this work is hearing directly from the healthcare community.
We are inviting healthcare practitioners and their organizations to participate in a Care-First Data Platform Technical Survey. The survey will help us understand your current technical environment, how you exchange information today, and which future capabilities and integrations would provide the greatest benefit to your practice.
We are particularly interested in your perspective on opportunities to make Care-First easier to participate in, including:
• Simpler, more standardized submission of Care-First information
• Reduced administrative effort and fewer manual processes
• Confirmation and visibility into the status of submitted information
• Secure and consistent information exchange with insurers
Your input will help us understand which capabilities should be prioritized and where integration, workflow and user experience improvements could have the greatest practical benefit to healthcare practitioners.
They recognize that healthcare practices operate in a wide range of technical environments, from small independent practices to larger organizations with established electronic medical record and practice-management systems. This survey is not an assessment of your organization's technical maturity or readiness. Rather, it is an opportunity to help shape a solution that reflects the realities of Alberta's healthcare community, including the needs of front-line clinicians.
The Care-First Data Platform, which will be implemented in 2028, will support standardized information exchange, while complementing the systems that healthcare practitioners and insurers already use. Your feedback will help inform how those interactions should work in the future and where the greatest opportunities exist to reduce duplication, improve information quality and make submissions easier to manage.
We value the experience and expertise of Alberta's healthcare practitioners and want your perspective to be part of the design process. Your input can help us prioritize the features and integrations that will make the greatest difference to you and your patients.
Thank you for taking the time to participate and for your continued collaboration in supporting the successful implementation of Care-First.

Please access the link below to open the Care-First Data Platform Technical Survey and complete the survey by Oct. 19, 2026.
