The competitors stay behind the curtain. The judging process doesn’t.

While our judges score blind, we decided in Edmonton to open up behind them so competitors can watch the process unfold. No secrets. No mystery. Just trained judges, score sheets, and a whole lot of discussion about tiny details. 😉

Fairness starts with blind judging. Trust comes from transparency. And we’re proud of both!

This curtain represents one of the things we’re most proud of at NMC: blind judging.

Every competitor deserves to know their work is being evaluated fairly and based on the score sheet. not on who created it. Because great competitions are built on trust, consistency, and skill. 🏆

If you’ve been thinking about competing but feel nervous, now’s the time. Every competitor in this room started somewhere, and the only way to grow is to take the leap. We promise the judges aren’t looking for perfection. They’re looking at the work in front of them.
