Things are changing around here… and I’m actually really excited about it. 👀

For a long time, this page has been connected to one part of my career.

But life changes. We change. And sometimes the thing you thought you’d do forever becomes the thing that prepared you for what’s next.

I’m stepping into a completely different season—learning new things, building new skills, and creating a life with a little more freedom and a lot more possibility.

So you’re going to start seeing some different things around here.

A little lifestyle.
A little travel.
A lot more conversation about money, choices and creating options for ourselves.
And probably a little hair sprinkled in… because let’s be serious, that part of me isn’t disappearing. 😂

Lots to learn… and somehow even more to remember. 😂 With this memory of mine, that might be the biggest challenge of all.

But I’m getting there! Learning the systems, meeting lots of new people, finding my rhythm and really enjoying this new chapter.

I’m officially joining the Chatters team!

The next two weeks will be spent training, learning and getting ready before I officially step into my location — and I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead.

There have been a LOT of changes happening in my life lately. Some I chose, some I definitely didn’t 😂 — but somewhere in the middle of all of it, some really great opportunities started showing up.

This is one of them.

A new role. A new challenge. A chance to grow, learn and use parts of myself that go far beyond standing behind the chair.

And believe it or not… this isn’t the only new thing I have going on. 😉

There are some changes happening behind the scenes, some new ideas taking shape, and a few things I’m really excited about.

I’m not quite ready to share all of it yet—but I also didn’t want to disappear while I figured everything out.

Life and business don’t always move in a perfectly straight line, and lately I’ve been giving myself permission to figure out what the next chapter is actually supposed to look like instead of rushing to announce it.

I’m missing the quiet.

Not silence exactly — the kind of quiet I only seem to find when I’m somewhere far away from everyday life.

Salt in the air. Bare feet. No schedule. No one needing anything from me for a minute.

My skin never feels better than when I’m by the ocean, but I think my mind might be the thing that loves it most.

There’s something about getting away from all the noise and distractions that gives me space to think. To learn. To process. To figure out what I actually want — and sometimes, to find pieces of myself I didn’t realize I’d lost along the way.

Life has changed a lot lately. I’ve changed a lot lately.

And I think I’m due for a little time somewhere that lets me be still enough to meet this version of me.

It’s been far too long.

Now the question is… where do I go? 🌊

Somewhere warm. Somewhere beautiful. Somewhere with salt in the air and absolutely nowhere I need to be.

Placing deep brunette beside a bright blonde is bold—but the tones, placement and shape still need to feel balanced.

I love colour with personality. Something a little unexpected, completely customized, and impossible to ignore.

Would you wear contrast this dramatic, or keep it a little more subtle?

Being vulnerable on social is new for me, but I feel it’s important to know the girl behind the scene. We definitely feel and look like we have it all together when we are behind the chair BUT…… here is my reality. Getting dressed today felt harder than it should have.

I’m heading to visit a salon, and standing in front of the mirror, nothing felt quite like me. The clothes I reached for didn’t sit the way I remembered, and the body looking back at me didn’t feel like the one I’m used to seeing.

There are moments in this season of life when confidence doesn’t come naturally.

So today, I put on my makeup. I got dressed anyway. I smiled, even though I didn’t completely feel like it, and I reminded myself that showing up still counts.

Vintage Vixen is about more than hair.

It’s about women finding themselves again through changing bodies, changing seasons, new beginnings, and all the messy parts in between.

I may not feel completely like myself yet, but I’m still becoming her.

Healthy hair never goes out of style.

Soft movement.
Natural dimension.
Shine that catches the light.

My goal is always hair that looks beautiful today… and still looks beautiful weeks from now.

Alberta really showed off today.

Rain.
Sunshine.
Storm clouds.
Endless roads.

Sometimes slowing down long enough to notice it all is the best part of the drive. 🤍
