It all started 12 years ago when .blondie and I met assisting at the same salon. I was 15, Ella 17. We became instant work friends, and soon after, instant besties. Over the years we would attend hair school together, go to parties together, concerts, bars, workouts, festivals... you name it.

Never did I think back then that we would be opening up our own salon... but here we are.

It’s pretty emotional seeing everything come together! Today will mark my last day employed elsewhere, and within the next week we will be “softly” opening Blondie.

I want to thank any person who’s ever sat in my chair, referred me a friend, liked an Instagram post, educated me on hair, followed my account, trusted me with their look, listened to me rant, sent me a DM, supported me in any other way possible. I am truly so happy and lucky to be able to do this and call it work.

This was achieved in one 4 hour setting.

I’m not a big believer in “sessions” to get the hair to where we want it to be. (Of course there are always exceptions and limits) but when a client comes in with virgin hair, I wanna get that blonde to pop on the first time.

Why? Lightening in sessions creates dimension within the hair. Then the next time you go to lighten - you will have some strands light, some strands dark. It is impossible to pick through each hair. So what you create is either warmth, or damage.

I believe in taking the time and applying once. This application alone took me 1.5 hours (yes! I’m fast, this is from years of repetition!) I saturated 90% of her ends with lightener and that takes time.

But we got the results the FIRST time 💗

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind as .blondie and I start to see .blondie take shape. Moving in some of our custom furniture from today really made the space feel like it was coming together. 🥰

It’s been so emotional opening up this new chapter! I am SO FU***NG GRATEFUL for all of you guys. Whether you’ve been my client for 9 years, or 9 days. You mean the world to me and this would not be happening without you. ❤️

I can’t wait for everyone to see the space we are literally pouring our heart and souls into. 🙏🏼

Time to sound cheesy - but dreams really do come true!!! Ella and I have talked about this since we apprenticed together at 16 and 18 years old... 🥺
