What if the fear you’re feeling isn’t a warning…
What if it’s simply the discomfort of becoming who you’re meant to be?
This week’s Confidence in Bloom podcast with Adriana Mateescu explores one of my favorite topics: learning to distinguish fear from intuition.
One of the biggest takeaways?
Ask yourself:
• What is this fear trying to protect me from?
• What is it costing me to stay here?
• Is this based on today’s reality…or yesterday’s story?
Sometimes one honest question changes everything.
If you’ve been waiting until you feel fearless before making a change, this episode might be exactly what you need.

When has fear kept you playing small?

What if fear isn’t actually the problem?
In this powerful conversation, executive coach Stacey Vanthuyen shares why fear is often a symptom of something deeper: worry, doubt, and the beliefs we hold about ourselves.
We talked about:
✨ Why most people don’t fail because of strategy
✨ How subconscious beliefs shape our results
✨ The identity shifts required for lasting change
✨ Why confidence comes from action—not the other way around
✨ How to stop waiting until you’re “ready”
One of my favorite takeaways:
“Act before you feel ready.”
So many women spend years waiting for confidence, certainty, or permission. Stacey reminds us that growth happens when we move despite the fear.
If you’ve been holding yourself back from taking the next step in your life, career, health, or relationships, this episode is for you.
Listen now and let me know: What’s one thing you’ve been waiting too long to start?

What happens when a woman stops waiting for permission to take up space?
On this week’s episode of Confidence in Bloom, I sat down with Silvia Daniele of Bloom Within Wellness for a powerful conversation about healing, courage, menopause, self-trust, and choosing authenticity over perfection.
Silvia shared:
💛 Her transition from traditional business into wellness work
💛 The health challenges that changed everything
💛 Why community and connection matter so deeply
💛 How fear keeps women quiet — and how courage helps us reclaim our voice
💛 The moment she realized she needed to get healthy for herself and her children
One of my favourite takeaways:
“The only way things work is by actually doing them.”
If you’ve ever struggled with self-doubt, visibility, perfectionism, or putting yourself last… this episode is for you.

Fear doesn’t always look like fear.
Sometimes it looks like overthinking.
Sometimes it looks like waiting until you feel “ready.”
Sometimes it looks like telling yourself you need one more qualification… one more course… one more confirmation.
In this episode of Confidence in Bloom, I sat down with entrepreneur and co-founder of Soultuary Wellness Center, Shawna MacNeil, to talk about what it really takes to move through fear in business and life.
And one truth that stood out?
Women often wait until they feel 9/10 qualified before they apply…
while men often apply at 2/10.
That gap alone changes everything.
We also explored:
✨ How fear shows up in the nervous system
✨ Why imposter syndrome is almost universal
✨ How courage looks in real-time business decisions
✨ And how Shawna challenged municipal bylaws to save over $160,000 in her wellness center build
This conversation is a reminder that courage isn’t loud—it’s often just a decision to take the next step anyway.

What does it really mean to choose courage over fear?
In this powerful episode of Confidence in Bloom, I sat down with Carol Metz-Murray, founder of the Naked Leadership Institute, to talk about resilience, healing, authentic leadership, and the courage it takes to reclaim your voice.
Carol shared her deeply personal journey through trauma, burnout, and transformation — including the moment she made what she calls “20 seconds of insane courage” to completely change her life.
We also explored:
🌸 Why fear is designed to protect us
🌸 How courage exists alongside fear
🌸 The balance of feminine and masculine energy in leadership
🌸 Why women are being called to step into collaboration over competition
🌸 Small courageous steps that create massive transformation
One of my favorite reminders from this conversation:
“There’s greatness inside each and every one of you.”
This episode is a beautiful reminder that courage doesn’t always look loud — sometimes it’s simply taking the next small step forward.

Have you ever felt like you’re changing… but the people around you aren’t?
That can be one of the hardest parts of personal growth.
In this week’s episode of Confidence in Bloom, Leah Davidson shares how pursuing better health isn’t just about food or exercise—it’s about learning to trust yourself, have honest conversations with the people you love, and choose yourself without guilt.
One question she encourages us to ask is:
Why does this goal really matter to me?
Not because society says it should.
Not because someone else expects it.
Because it matters to YOU.
Sometimes the smallest action—a walk around the block, choosing one nourishing meal, or challenging one negative thought—is enough to create momentum.
What’s one small step you’re choosing today?

You know what to do.
So why aren’t you doing it?
This is one of the most frustrating experiences for smart women.
You read the books.
You take the courses.
You make the plans.
Yet somehow you find yourself:
• Overthinking
• Procrastinating
• Doubting yourself
• Playing smaller than you know you’re capable of
The problem isn’t a lack of information.
The problem is that information alone doesn’t change unconscious patterns.
That’s exactly what I’ll be unpacking in my presentation:
🎤 Why Smart Women Stay Stuck
You’ll discover:
✔ Why willpower isn’t enough
✔ The hidden patterns that drive self-sabotage
✔ Why confidence feels inconsistent
✔ How self-trust becomes the key to lasting change
Because when you understand why you do what you do, everything starts to make sense.
And from that awareness, real change becomes possible.

You know exactly what you’re doing wrong.
And you do it anyway.
The second-guessing. The over-preparing. The almost-ready that never quite becomes ready.
Perfectionism doesn’t look like trying to be perfect. It looks like getting in your own way — over and over — while watching opportunities pass by.
I’m talking about this (and four other patterns) on June 25th at The G.L.O.S.S. Loft.

What if your uniqueness isn’t something you need to “figure out”…
…but something you need to allow?
One of my favorite moments from my conversation with Lisa Patel was this:
👉 You have to plant the seed of your uniqueness within yourself before you expect the world to see it.
So many women are waiting for:
✔ validation
✔ recognition
✔ confidence
But it starts internally.
Through:
self-awareness
quiet reflection
celebrating small wins
choosing yourself in the small moments
Lisa also shared something so simple—but so powerful…
Being a good sister.
Showing up.
Listening.
Offering kindness.
Because confidence isn’t just how you show up for yourself—
It’s how you show up for others, too.
✨ Who are you when you’re fully you…without shrinking?

✨ Unapologetically Unique ✨
In the latest episode of Confidence in Bloom, I sat down with Harvard–Minds at Work trained coach Mary Printz to talk about why so many women hold themselves back from being their authentic selves.
We explored the idea of an “immunity to change”—the hidden beliefs and internal commitments that are designed to protect us… but can also keep us from fully showing up and connecting in a meaningful way.
Mary shared simple, powerful ways to begin shifting:
✅ Notice your patterns without judgment
✅ Gently share small vulnerabilities with safe, supportive people
✅ Work with your internal barriers instead of fighting against them
Because confidence isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you build as you learn to trust and be true to yourself.
