My name is Laura Borchuk, and I’m a 30-something Red Seal–Certified Hairstylist with a passion for compassionate, client-centered care.⁣

I spent four years at Be***rs Fun Cuts for Kids, including two years in management, where I specialized in working with children with special needs. I’m also the owner of a private studio salon in Windermere called Little Lamb Hair Studio.⁣

In May 2018, I created Compassion Cuts—a patient, gentle, and experienced mobile hair care service for children and adults with special needs. This service allows clients to receive haircuts in the comfort and familiarity of their own home, helping eliminate sensory stress and create a calm, positive experience.⁣

Recognizing that the sensory intensity of a hockey game may be overwhelming for some, we've partnered with the Oil Kings to establish a designated area for those seeking a quieter space amidst the excitement.

Autism awareness goes beyond acknowledgment; it encompasses acceptance. It's crucial for us to inspire our community members to foster inclusive environments, offering diverse options for everyone to engage fully. Let's celebrate the uniqueness of all autistic individuals by working together to create inclusive and accepting spaces within our community.
