I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who reached out with love, support, and understanding after my last post. I honestly wasn’t expecting the response that I received and it truly meant the world to me.
Thank you to the clients who came in and paid for their missed appointments. That level of honesty, respect, and support doesn’t go unnoticed. Every appointment matters to a small business, and your kindness has made such a difference.
Making that post wasn’t easy. I don’t like talking about the financial side of running my business and I never want anyone to feel singled out or uncomfortable. But after being off for June and returning to so many missed appointments and last-minute cancellations, I felt like I had to be honest about the reality of how much it impacts me.
‼️‼️
After taking the month of June off for surgery, I came back looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back to doing what I love. Instead, I’ve been met with an overwhelming number of no-shows and last-minute cancellations. While I completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen, the frequency of this lately has become extremely difficult for my business.
When an appointment is booked, that time is reserved specifically for you. If you don’t show up or cancel at the last minute, I usually don’t have enough time to fill that appointment with someone else. That means I lose that income completely while still paying my overhead, supplies, and business expenses.
As a small business owner, I don’t receive paid vacation, sick days, or guaranteed income. If I’m not working, I’m not earning. After already being away for the month of June, returning to so many missed appointments has put me in a very difficult financial position.
I never want anyone to feel guilty if something unexpected comes up. Life happens. All I ask is that if you know you can’t make your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. Even a few hours notice can sometimes give me the chance to fill your spot.
The truth is, if the no-shows and last-minute cancellations continue at this rate, I honestly don’t know if I’ll be able to continue operating my business anymore. That isn’t something I ever imagined I’d have to say, but I want to be transparent because this business is how I support myself and my family.
Moving forward, I will be asking everyone to respect my cancellation policy. This isn’t because I want to be strict. it’s because I need to protect the business I’ve worked so hard to build.
Thank you to everyone who shows up, communicates when plans change, and continues to support my small business. Your loyalty and respect truly mean more than you know, and I couldn’t do this without you.
Online booking is now back up and running! Looking forward to seeing everyone back next Thursday!! - thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to check in during my recovery!
‼️‼️‼️(The week of June 8th any clients I had that is movable for nails and select pedicures I will be moving to June 5th 6th & 7th to accommodate that first week off so please
Look out for those messages and calls) anyone else for the rest of June I apologize in advance to have to cancel the rest of those. I’ll keep July appointments booked for now Incase I’m able to slowly go back into clients!
I have received a call from my surgeon, awaiting my surgery that I have been waiting for a long time as most of you have been told in advance. I was unsure of the timeline. They have called with a surgery date of JUNE 8th. With my health condition progressively getting worse they have recommended my surgery happening a lot sooner. it’s very sudden and unexpected considering I thought I had a lot more time in advance to book myself off.
Because of this, I will need to cancel all currently booked appointments for the time being (for the rest of June forsure) while I recover. My doctor has advised that recovery could take up to 8 weeks, although I am hopeful I may be able to return sooner if healing goes well. (Potentially just starting with hands to begin with sooner) I will keep everyone updated as I know more and will reach out as soon as I am able to start rebooking clients again.
I truly apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding, and support during this unexpected time. Thank you all so much for supporting my business it means more than you know, and I look forward to seeing everyone as soon as possible! ❤️
I turned off online booking it will be back up
When I’m all caught up with starting again! ‼️‼️‼️
Happy Mother’s Day to all of my wonderful clients!! 💐
I just want to say how truly grateful I am for all of you. You have become more than just clients to me. I’ve had the privilege of hearing your stories, watching your families grow and seeing firsthand how strong, selfless, and hardworking you are every single day.
Mothers carry so much, often without recognition, and I hope today you feel appreciated for everything you do. Wishing you all a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, peace and the reminder that you are valued more than you know. ❤️
Reminder, I am NOT accepting new clients as of right now. I have had a lot of new requests for appointments unfortunately I am having to decline those as I have full schedule for my existing clients at this current time. I apologize.
