☀️☀️reformer classes are on summer break… management is almost 2 years old (in July)
With playschool wrapping up for the summer, my reformer/semi-private equipment classes are taking a little seasonal pause while I navigate the glamorous life of motherhood, farmwife and business owner 😂
BUT……mat classes are still happening:
✨ Mondays — 5:15pm Beginner Mat
✨ Wednesdays — 5:15pm Intermediate Mat
And the 6:30am mat crew is still alive and well… just operating on a very unofficial “farmer schedule.” 🚜☀️
Those classes will be announced by text the night before depending on crops/weather and existential exhaustion.
So let me know if you want on the text list for those!
Honestly though? Small town summer energy means flexibility, iced coffee, and doing Pilates while the crops and kids keep everyone guessing.
But I love Pilates and try to teach when I can!!
Thanks for rolling with me through the summer chaos. 🤍

Openings this week:
Mat class tonight is beginner and back to the basics at 5:15pm
Wednesday : beginner pilates mat class at 6:30am and intermediate and advanced mat at 5:15pm!
$18 a mat
My favourite part about a 6:30am workout isn’t actually the workout… it’s 3pm.
That moment in the afternoon when the energy dip hits and you remember:
oh yeah… I already worked out today.
Which means you can relax, drink your coffee, sit on the couch with zero guilt, or survive the after-school chaos knowing you already did something good for yourself.
That’s the magic of a morning class.
✨ 6:30am Mat Pilates
Mondays & Wednesdays
Beginner friendly and designed to build strength as we go. No need to be flexible. Pilates creates that flexibility and builds strength all at the same time.
Small class sizes so everything can be modified to your level.
Once 3 mats are booked the class is a go, so if you’ve been thinking about it… this is your sign to become a morning Pilates person.

⏰ Your 5:15pm reminder to log off and say good bye to back pain.
🌙Evening Mat Pilates classes at The Phoenix Studio are now running Mondays & Wednesdays at 5:15pm🌙
✨ Mondays – Beginner Mat
✨ Wednesdays – Intermediate Mat
Both classes follow the classical Pilates order, designed to build deep core strength, improve spinal mobility, and connect the entire body.
Class sizes are small (max 6 mats) so I can modify and adjust exercises for every person in the room, whether you’re brand new or ready for more challenge.
Pilates should meet you where you’re at.
Bring your grip socks, claim your mat, and come move with us.

Pilates is my favourite way to put the world on Do Not Disturb.
45 minutes of breathing, control, and strengthening the deep core while your spine gets some love.
And somehow you walk out feeling stronger, taller, and calmer than when you walked in.

🌼 Your posture deserves better this spring 🌼
Spring might technically be here… but since we’re still surrounded by snow, we might as well warm up with Pilates. ❄️➡️🔥
At The Phoenix Studio, classes are intentionally small so everyone gets guidance, support, and exercises that actually work for their body.
Here’s what to expect this month:
🧦 Beginner Mat Classes
Small group (max 6) We start at a beginner level but the class evolves based on who’s in the room.
You may see props like:
• Magic circles
• Foam rollers
Mats are provided, just bring your water. Grip socks or bare feet is best! 🙌
Morning mat classes only run once 3 mats are booked, so grab a friend and let’s make it happen.
🔥 Reformer Sessions
Our reformer classes are semi-private and often include experimenting with other pieces of classical equipment like the tower and the wunda chair, so you get a full studio experience.
Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, everything is modified so it works for every level.
And honestly…
coffee + grip socks + Pilates is a pretty good way to start the day. ☕🧦
Spots are limited, so check the slides and claim yours.

Grab your coffee and your grip socks. ☕️🧦
We’re starting the day with 6:30am Beginner Mat Pilates on Mondays & Wednesdays.
A calm studio, a strong core, and the quiet satisfaction of finishing your workout before most people hit snooze.
These classes are beginner friendly, and we’ll gradually build toward more intermediate exercises as you grow stronger.
Because class sizes are small, I can modify or add challenges to suit everyone in the room, whether you’re brand new to Pilates or ready for something a little spicier 🌶️
Once 3 mats are booked, class is a go, so grab a friend and claim your spot.
Sometimes I get a full uninterrupted Pilates session…
…and sometimes I get 5 minutes before my kids run back upstairs looking for snacks.
The beauty of classical Pilates is that even a short session still connects the whole body. I condensed the repertoire to make it work for me but kept the main patterns of the method.
After Flexion must come extension!
Engage the deep core, articulate spinal movement and make everything work together!
So if you’re short on time, remember:
you don’t always need an hour.
Sometimes 5 focused minutes is all it takes to wake up your body.
Mom life Pilates. Efficient and slightly rushed. 😅✨
Jackie flowing through the Semi Circle on the reformer ✨
This one looks like a lower body exercise… but it’s actually full body magic.
As the carriage moves, your body is working in opposing directions. Pressing through the legs while the upper body stays active to create length through the spine.
Then comes the best part… slowly melting your spine down into the springs. The decompression feeling is unreal.
And of course we had to finish with the little bonus stretch reaching back for the ankles because Pilates is nothing if not a little extra.
Strength, control, and a spine that feels so good after.
Joseph Pilates really said:
“You’ve articulated your spine, engaged your deep abdominals, controlled every movement with precision…”
“…perfect. Now finish with push ups.”
And honestly?
It’s super humbling.
Pilates push ups are a full body powerhouse! Triceps, shoulders, core, control, stability plus don’t forget the standing roll ups to get in and out of your push ups so ya Pilates is definitely not just stretching. 🤪
