A friendly reminder ❤️
If you see a small person wearing a bikini, mind your business.
If you see a big person wearing a crop top, mind your business.
If you see a person not wearing a bra, mind your business.
If a person of any size that doesn't fit your definition of "beautiful" or "sexy" because they are too “skinny” or too "fat"…. Keep your toxic and rude comments to yourself . ✌🏼
You do not have the right to make anyone feel any less for being a certain size.
Simply mind your business 🙏
Every body, no matter what shape or size , is beautiful and should be loved. ❤️

The belly project is all about the celebration of all bodies, no matter who inhabits them or how they function. Bellies specifically are so often shamed into hiding, people and systems trying to fit them into a perfectly white, flat and unblemished mould - and if you are anything less, keep it all under wraps.
I'm here to say that, as someone else with a bloated, sometimes distended belly with tons of hair myself, that they've got it all wrong. Your belly supports you everyday, to keep you living and breathing. And even if it doesn't, due to any matter of physical (or even mental) disability, your belly tries its best to keep you happy and healthy despite everything it's been through with you. It deserves to be celebrated for its every detail, from the hair around your belly button to the way it spills out over your hips, or breathes around your c-section scar.
The belly project is all about this - celebrating your belly for all it does for you and meeting it where it's at. Self love is never easy, but being able to beautify an area that is so often chastised and scrutinized for all our lives is one way of taking that first step.
After so much turmoil and shame, it should get its flowers too. But maybe just for this time, they'll be painted instead of given in a vase.🌸🌻🌷🪻🌹

And I said to my body, softly, “I want to be your friend. It took a long breath and replied, “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this.” – Nayyirah Waheed

Doing my part to end body shaming and helping the world see that ALL bodies are worthy is very important to me. This is why we started The Zen Body Project.
Raising awareness through photos and sometimes sharing the personal stories of the beautiful humans we work with.
Just over a year ago we did our first big shoot. And it's coming very close to emerging and being ready to share with the world. 🙏🎉
Today I am working an incredible artist who I met a few years ago when he came to the studio to do a shoot celebrate his journey. Sam McGowan
Sam is a 26-year-old Canadian Illustrator living in the Niagara region of Ontario. He is a q***r, neurodivergent and disabled transgender man and his identity and view of the world comes through in the themes and content of his work. He specializes in depicting the beauty of q***r, non-normative bodies, as well as anything found in nature, from moths to mushrooms.
I can not wait for you to see what we are up to today 🎉❤️
P. S. We are always looking for different body types, shapes and size for our different projects.

"I did this photo shoot to document this time in my life and at the time these were taken I wasn’t sure if a double mastectomy was in my future. I wanted to just feel like myself and feel beautiful again after all I have been through."

Today you are not going to take away from my self-worth.
Today is not the day I attack myself and put myself down.
Today is not the day I let you make me out to be anything less than what I am.
Take back your day, your month your year.. Your life.

"At first, it was difficult to choose the part of my body to highlight, I mean, who only dislikes one part of their body. Once I decided on my stomach, I continued to be met with positivity and encouragement to be myself and be proud of who I am. I really wanted my positive body image (that comes and goes) "

It's time. It's time that I coordinate a photo shoot that I've wanted to do for about 10 years.
A photo shoot that shows that all bodies are beautiful. From the person who gets picked on because they are "too thin" and people assume that they don't eat enough, to the person who has lost an extreme amount of weight and who struggles with body dysmorphia and extra skin, to a person who wants to show that their skin color is absolutely gorgeous and worthy and wonderful, right down to the person who feels so wonderful in their skin but everywhere they look the world keeps telling them that it's not okay to have a bigger body.
On June 15th, 2 hours before the sunsets, here in Fort Erie at a private, Lakefront location, I have dreamed of executing a photo session that involves 25 to 30 women (stay tuned for more including all gender identities) of ALL shapes and sizes to come together for an impactful photo session to raise awareness as part of the The Zen Body Project ❤️
I have created a form for those who are interested that will explain in more detail what I am looking for, and to see if this is a good fit for you.
🎉Please private message us or email us at [email protected] if you are interested in hearing more about the project.🎉
My STRONG desire, ever since I started Lady Luck has been to raise awareness and to scream at the top of my lungs that all bodies are worthy, and I am so freaking excited to finally get this ball rolling!
I am also going to be looking for volunteers to help with the process. From greeting people on site, to helping arrange the day, to standing with me and appreciating how freaking incredible this is going to be. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity please reach out to me ❤️
*EDITED TO ADD.. This awareness project is 100% not for profit. There is no charge involved*
