Magnesium is one of the most important minerals in the body, yet it’s one of the nutrients I see people overlooking the most. Our bodies run on minerals!!! Every cell in your body relies on minerals like magnesium, sodium and potassium to communicate. Minerals help your nerves fire, your muscles contract and relax, your heart beat, and your body produce energy. Without enough minerals, these everyday processes don’t work as efficiently. The body is incredibly smart. It can make do with less, but when magnesium is in short supply, it doesn’t just shut down. It prioritizes the most important jobs first in order to keep us alive now, instead of keeping us healthy decades from now. Secondary functions that are not essential for survival will begin to suffer when magnesium gets low. Hormones, thyroid function, bone health, muscle recovery, skin, hair, nails, and even reproduction and fertility may not get the support they need because we can live with these being suboptimal. And there are many reasons causing low magnesium. 1. we are eating way more processed foods that we used to and consuming less magnesium rich foods 2. chronic stress increases our bodies demand for magnesium. 3. Certain medications contribute to magnesium loss or reduced absorption. 4. Pregnancy increases magnesium requirements because you’re growing an entire human. 5. modern life also exposes us to more environmental stressors than in previous generations.
if you’re constantly dealing with muscle tension, headaches, poor sleep, anxiety, fatigue, constipation, or your trying to conceive, a good quality magnesium is one of the first nutrients worth paying attention to.
if you’re curious about whether your mineral levels may be affecting your health, a Hair Trace Mineral Analysis (HTMA) can provide a deeper look at your mineral patterns and help guide a personalized plan.
sometimes the missing piece isn’t another medication or whatever the latest health craze is, it is giving your body, the MINERALS it needs to do what it was designed to do.
If you’d like to learn more about HTMA or your wondering whether it’s right for you, send me a message. I’d be happy to chat.

Magnesium is one of the most important minerals in the body, yet it's one of the nutrients I see people overlooking the most.
I work with women every day who are trying to conceive, are pregnant, or are recovering after having a baby. When I ask if they're taking a good quality magnesium supplement, I'd estimate only about 25% are.
The reason this matters is simple.... Our bodies run on MINERALS!!!!!!
Every cell in your body relies on minerals like Magnesium, Sodium, and Potassium to communicate.
They help your nerves fire, your muscles contract and relax, your heart beat, and your body produce energy. Without enough minerals, these everyday processes don't work as efficiently.
The body is incredibly smart and can make do with less, but when magnesium is in short supply, it doesn't shut down. It prioritizes the MOST important jobs first in order to keep us alive now, instead of keeping us healthy decades from now.
Priority number 1 is we need to keep your heart beating, your brain functioning, your breathing steady, and your blood pressure regulated.
Over time, though, secondary functions that are not essential for survival will begin to suffer. Hormone balance, thyroid function, bone health, muscle recovery, skin, hair, nails, even reproduction and fertility may not get the support they need because we can live with these being suboptimal.
You may wonder WHY are so many people running low on magnesium?
1. We eat more processed foods and fewer magnesium-rich whole foods today
2. Chronic stress increases our body's demand for magnesium
3. Inflammation and certain medications contribute to magnesium loss or reduce absorption
4. Pregnancy increases magnesium requirements because you're growing an entire human
5. Modern life also exposes us to more environmental stressors than previous generations.
If you're constantly dealing with muscle tension, headaches, poor sleep, anxiety, fatigue, constipation, or you're trying to conceive, A good quality Magnesium is one of the first nutrients worth paying attention to.
If you're curious about whether your mineral levels may be affecting your health, a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) can provide a deeper look at your mineral patterns and help guide a personalized plan.
Sometimes the missing piece isn't another medication or whatever the latest health craze is, it is giving your body the MINERALS it needs to do what it was designed to do.
If you'd like to learn more about HTMA or you're wondering whether it's right for you, send me a message. I'd be happy to chat -Dr. Amanda Gergely

The Power of Massage!!
Pain isn’t always just about tight muscles, it’s also about how your nervous system is processing pain signals.
Therapeutic touch helps calm the nervous system, encouraging your body to shift out of ‘fight or flight’ and into a state of rest and recovery, And this is when the healing can begin.
Massage therapy isn’t just about feeling good for an hour. It’s about helping your body feel safe enough to calm the nervous system, which leads to letting go of tension, reduced pain and improved function.

Studying is Lonny Jarrett has allowed me to reflect on why I love to practice Chinese Medicine.
This science has an amazing capacity to help heal everyone and anyone.
My goal as a practitioner is to sit with someone and help them see what genetic, karmic or socialized patterns they keep repeating, educate them so that they can create distance between ‘it’ and them. Making ‘it’ a meer object in their awareness.
We are not our thoughts, we are not our beliefs, we are not our feelings, we are all love and light in this great universe.
And we can choose to suffer or move past it.

Sympathetic Charge can build everyday and eventually lead to burn out and fatigue. It’s important to notice it and release it in real time
Sympathetic charge builds up in our bodies throughout the day, and if that accumulated energy doesn’t get released it says in us and creates an uncomfortable feeling. This is usually when we come home and want to decompress on the couch, doom scroll, drink alcohol, etc.
But there are other healthier ways to release the charge in real time to clear up the build up of energy so we can feel grounded, whole and comfortable.
