FAQ TIME 👩‍🏫‼️

When your skin is exposed to UV light, it triggers MELANOGENESIS 🧬

This is the process where melanocytes produce melanin as a protective response to UV exposure ☀️

That process continues after your session is over, sometimes for hours to days.

✨ UVB helps stimulate new melanin production.
✨ UVA helps oxidize existing melanin, giving you that immediate bronze.

↔️ Spacing your sessions allows this process to fully develop.

✨ 24 hours is the minimum for basic recovery
✨ 48 hours is ideal for consistent pigment development
✨ 72 hours can allow for deeper development depending on your skin type

If you tan too soon, you are not giving your skin time to fully respond. ❌

Overexposure does not speed up results, it increases stress on the skin instead. ⚠️

Smart tanning is about timing, not intensity.💡

Which road are you going to take? 🛣️

Dry, tight, flaky skin… ❓
or hydrated, conditioned, glowing skin ✨

When it comes to tanning, skin condition matters.

Hydrated, well-conditioned skin responds more evenly to UV, feels more comfortable, and delivers better results ☀️

Smart tanning always starts with skin care 💛

FAQ TIME 👩‍🏫‼️

Tanning WITHOUT lotion is one of the most common reasons people experience uneven colour, irritation, or slow progress.

Here’s what’s actually happening:

💧 Indoor UV dehydrates the surface of the skin fast.
When skin becomes dry, it reflects more light and doesn’t respond as efficiently to UV stimulus. Hydrated skin is more receptive.

🧬 Melanin activates more effectively when the skin is moisturized. Your pigment pathway relies on hydration and amino acids like tyrosine. When skin is dry, colour develops slower and fades faster.

🔥 Dry skin is more sensitive to heat and friction.
This can show up as tiny bumps, redness, tightness, or uneven texture after a session.

🛡️ Professional indoor accelerators support the skin barrier. They help maintain moisture, support melanin activity, and keep skin comfortable under controlled UV exposure.

💡 5. Indoor tanning is designed to be paired with lotion. Reputable salons recommend it because it helps skin perform properly NOT because of upselling.

❌ Bare skin rarely gives you your best results.

Prepared skin responds better, tans smoother, and maintains colour longer. 💛

☀️ And yes, the same principle applies outdoors.
Sun exposure also dehydrates the skin. Hydration and proper skin prep matter whether you’re tanning inside or outside.
