🌍👣 WORLD REFLEXOLOGY WEEK — CELEBRATING REFLEXOLOGY 👣🌍
To celebrate World Reflexology Week, here is a brief look at the history of this popular complementary therapy and how it has developed around the world.
👣 From ancient traditions to modern practice
Foot and hand massage have been used in many cultures for centuries. However, modern Western Reflexology began developing in the early 20th century.
American physician Dr William H. Fitzgerald introduced ZONE Therapy, based on ten longitudinal zones of the body. His work was later developed by Dr Joe Shelby Riley.
Physiotherapist Eunice Ingham then focused particularly on the feet. During the 1930s, she developed detailed foot maps and published Stories the Feet Can Tell in 1938. Her teaching helped shape the reflexology practised by many practitioners today.
🌎 A global complementary therapy
Through books, teaching and professional training, Reflexology spread internationally. Today, it is practised in private clinics, wellness centres and spas, and is also used in some supportive healthcare settings.
🔬 Research continues
Research has explored reflexology’s possible role in relaxation, stress, anxiety, pain, fatigue, sleep and quality of life.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy that supports relaxation and wellbeing and is not intended to diagnose or treat disease or replace medical care.
World Reflexology Week is an opportunity to celebrate the profession, share responsible information and recognise the importance of therapeutic touch, relaxation and wellbeing.
Happy World Reflexology Week! 🌍 👣 💙

Easy yoga pose “Lions Breath”! Lowers the Cortisol!!
A simple physiological hack that crashes your cortisol levels in under a minute, completely bypassing the need for expensive anxiety medications.
By fully extending your tongue and holding it for exactly 40 seconds, you apply sustained mechanical stretch to the cranial nerves located at the base of your throat. This specific tension sends an immediate shockwave to your brainstem, forcing your parasympathetic nervous system to override your fight-or-flight response.
The biological result is a massive, instantaneous flush of cortisol from your bloodstream. Clinical observations show that this neural reset neutralizes the body's stress hormones significantly faster than deep breathing exercises, meditation, or pills. It literally short-circuits the chemical pathways of anxiety.
You can test this biological cheat code right now. Simply stick your tongue out as far as it can comfortably stretch and hold it there. Breathe normally through your nose and watch the clock for exactly 40 seconds. As the seconds tick by, you will physically feel the heavy tension drain from your jaw, neck, and shoulders, followed by a profound wave of mental clarity.

I use a spray if need.
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract (do not use imitation, as sugar can attract bugs)

Magnesium is one of the most helpful supplements for PCOS / PMOS. When women ask me where to start with supplements, I usually put magnesium right alongside inositol and vitamin D as my "big 3" foundations.
Why?
Because magnesium doesn't just support one symptom. It can help support some of the core issues we see with PCOS including:
✨ Poor sleep quality
✨ High stress
✨ Low energy
✨ Blood sugar balance
✨ Cravings and hunger
And when those things improve, it's often a lot easier to stay consistent with the habits that actually drive long-term results. Not all magnesium is the same though 👇
✔️ Magnesium Citrate is great if bloating, constipation or digestive sluggishness is something you struggle with.
✔️ Magnesium Malate is my favourite for women dealing with low energy, fatigue and brain fog.
✔️ Magnesium Glycinate is usually my go-to for sleep, stress, anxiety and those "my brain won't switch off" nights.
📌 Daily dosage:
Most women with PCOS will benefit from around 200–400mg of elemental magnesium per day, depending on their diet, symptoms and individual needs.
The best results always come from combining it with good nutrition, strength training, sleep and steps! But if I was building a supplement routine for PCOS from scratch, magnesium would almost always make the list.
It's actually one of the reasons I included it in our Balance Multivitamin because I wanted to combine the vitamins and minerals I see helping women with PCOS the most, including:
✓ Magnesium
✓ Vitamin D
✓ Zinc
✓ Chromium
✓ Inositol
Have you tried magnesium? did it help? did it do nothing? let me know!
