Beaswax Sugaring

✨ If you've ever chosen "what is the best option for me" on my consultation form then you already know I am a little bias about sugaring EVEN THOUGH I offer both sugaring and waxing at the studio. ✨

Even though they achieve ultimately the same thing (ripping unwanted hair out of your body) they are very different in their own right!

🔮🧞‍♀️ One may work better for you than what works for your bestie so come to your own conclusions, but this is my personal opinion based off years of experience and straight facts:

💥So let me mansplain this to you: (mansplaining is when someone explains something to you assuming you know less about the topic than you actually do)💥

🍯 If you have common allergies, it is less likely for you to have a reaction to sugar wax because it has less ingredients that could cause skin irritation. Sometimes traditional waxes can have resins or chemicals in them that can cause discomfort for your skin.

❤️‍🔥 If heated too much, wax can also give your skin a mild burn or sensation.

Aside from the temperature and ingredients, let's get into application:

💪🏻 Sugar wax is applied by hand against hair growth, which some people can find uncomfortable. More uncomfortable then removing the hair itself.

👙 Strip sugar is a good middle of the road solution that uses sugar wax but is removed with a strip in a larger section. Sometimes I use this for people who find the pulling unmanageable but still want to sugar. I will not strip sugar large areas though, sorry! 🩲

🐌 Soft wax is applied with hair growth and removed against. It can be faster, but can also cause irritation to your follicles because you are ripping the hair out an unnatural way.

Powder is used as a barrier for sugar as it is water soluble. The powder (I use arrowroot powder) absorb excess moisture so the sugar wax doesn't melt.

When using wax, I use an oil barrier to protect the skin so it doesn't left. It helps leave it more supple and less agitated.

Whichever medium you choose, exfoliating afterwards is non negotiable!

A tooth gem is a semi-permanent dental grade enhancement for clients 13+ years of age. The gems are high quality Swarovski crystals and the charms are made of 18-22k white or yellow gold. They are bonded to your enamel with composite bond, which is the same bond used for braces. The removal of your gems/charms has to be done by a dental professional. They can last anywhere from a few months to a few years.

All gems and charms have a 1 month warranty if they fall off etc. we will go through thorough aftercare and maintenance at your appointment!
