We’re Back! ✨

After a long pause, I’m excited to share that Highland Mist Soap Company is officially back in business. Many of you may remember me as Sodan Soaps — the name has changed, but my values haven’t.

When you buy handmade soap or body care, you’re not just buying a bar of soap — you’re placing your trust in the maker. And that trust matters to me.

That’s why Highland Mist is fully legit and safe:
✅ Registered with Health Canada – every recipe reviewed and approved.
✅ Registered & Insured – protecting you, me, and every product that leaves my workshop.
✅ Transparent & Traceable – ingredients documented, labels accurate, quality non-negotiable.

Stay tuned. Pine tar soap and other lovelies coming soon. There will be a soft opening by the end of September. I can't wait!!

I would like to send out a big thank you for those visiting my page and sending me little messages.
I am not making soap right now but I am watching the prices of the ingredients I use. Also, who knows what's going to happen with the US tariffs.
It does make one feel good though when people are still reaching out to buy.
You all made my day!!

Thanks so much to all who got in contact with me. I haven't made any soap and I am not sure if I will be making any for use before Christmas.
I will keep this page up but not active. 👻💀☠️ Enjoy our spectacular fall and stay safe.

Hello soap lovers!

I haven't been making soap or any products while the prices have been fluctuating so much. I'm sure you are all being hit in the pocketbooks too at your grocery stores.

I miss soap making and I miss my customers who still check in on this page from time to time.

Here are some thoughts I would really appreciate your feedback on.

My prices for single soaps made with essential oils, fair trade palm oils, shea butters, organic when available, would cost $2.00 more than in the past. That would mean going from $5.00 to $7.00 for bars that weigh 4 to 5 ounces each. I would be discounting for multiple bar purchases but I don't know the exact discount amount at this time.

I would also consider making smaller bars weighing 2 to 3 ounces for $5.00 if there is an interest.

I would be starting off making smaller amounts at first until I built up stock.

I will be adding a poll to this post in the near future.

Thank you & enjoy your summer safely.

Big sale on all the soap at Ed's Bookstore - Sale is all soap is now $5.00 and if you buy 5 bars of soap you will only pay $20.00. This is our closing out sale for this year.
If by some chance I get a small shop built on our land, we will look at restarting the business. We would love to run our soap business in New Victoria/New Waterford and teach soap making. Just putting that out in the Universe.
But for now, our loss is your gain. So get to Eds and buy 5 bars of soap for just $20.00 and that should last you a long time.
