We make small batches of Cold Processed Soaps, “The Perfect Soak”, Solid Perfume, Lip Balm and A Welcome! Just add water and it’s a wash cloth and soap in one!

We are a small family living in the heart of an amazing community in rural Glovertown, Newfoundland. Together, we craft small batches of goodness for you and your loved ones. Our creamy cold processed soaps, our luxurious bath soaks, our funky solid perfumes and our super fun lip balms are all handmade with love right here in our kitchen. If you visit our table at farmer’s markets you will see our main passion is our soap. Each bar is made from scratch, the old fashioned way using the cold process method. We use 100% vegetable oils in all of our recipes and enrich our soaps with healing clays and dried botanicals. Most are scented using premium fragrance and essential oils and coloured with bright and cheerful micas. We also make a pure Newfoundland Bastille soap which contains neither scent nor colour. The result is an amazingly luxurious bar that has a creamy, foamy lather with wonderful and gentle cleansing properties that is safe to use from your face to your toes. We also sell felted soaps, which are soaps wrapped in sheep’s wool that’s hand dyed in Newfoundland. At Cicily’s Garden, we are always adding new products to our line like solid perfumes and all natural lip balms made with NL Beeswax. This year, in addition to beauty & bath products we've also added some amazing products made by my husband. Inspired by the long history of woodworking in his family, Ray enjoys the peacefulness of handcrafting wooden soap dishes, creating jewelry and many other one of a kind items. And finally, in case you were curious, here is the story behind our company's name. Cicily was my grandmother and this little business is a tribute to the warm, patient and kind woman most knew as Aunt Cis. All of my sweetest childhood memories are of walking in the warm grass and picking strawberries in Nanny’s garden near the pond in Salmon Cove, Newfoundland. My Nan was also a soaper; along with all of the other chores of a typical housewife in the 30’s and 40’s. She made lye soap in the fall of the year, in her kitchen, in a large pot and let it cool on a flat rock out in the garden. Her soap was made from Gillett’s Lye and the pork fat she’d saved over the summer. This soap was used for the toughest cleaning jobs, like scrubbing the floors and ceilings in her kitchen or in the school house as they would often be quite dirty from burning coal. I wish Nanny could see how much her tenacity and hard work has been an inspiration to so many who met and loved her. Thanks so much for supporting our family business!
