We are asking the Government to remove the GST/HST from the treatment costs for massage therapy. To make massage therapy services tax-excerpt.

THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT MASSAGE THERAPISTS!

This is about patients, families, seniors, people living with chronic pain. Why are we paying more than we need. Right now, HST adds an additional cost to massage treatments. For someone who needs regular treatments, that cost can become a significant financial barrier.

This could make a big difference for seniors who want and need to stay active and independent.

Make Massage Therapy Tax Free - Canadian Registered Massage Therapist Association Physiotherapy, chiropractic, and psychotherapy are all exempt from GST/HST. Massage therapy — the same regulated health care, often in the same clinic — is still taxed.

💕 I feel so lucky to have these beautiful pillow covers made especially for me by my aunt Rowena Strickland. There’s just something extra special about having handmade pieces made with love — they add such a warm and personal touch to Ocean Breeze Massage & Wellness. 🌊🤍

📚 A little something for our book lovers…
I’ve also started a small collection of books here at the clinic for clients to enjoy. Feel free to pick one up and take it home with you when you’re finished, and if you have a book you’ve enjoyed, you’re welcome to bring one back to share with someone else. Let’s create a little Ocean Breeze book exchange, where good books can keep making their way from one person to another. 💙📖

My clinic is open and ready to welcome you at our new home at 44 Elizabeth Ave, Grand Bank! ✨

Over the past six months, Ocean Breeze Massage and Wellness has experienced tremendous growth, and I am incredibly proud of how far we have come. Through hard work, the support of amazing clients, and the privilege of being located in the beautiful community of Grand Bank, our clinic continues to grow each day.

The Burin Peninsula is home to so many outstanding local businesses that make our region special — from foot care clinics and boutiques to cafés, bookstores, restaurants, and welcoming Airbnbs. The “toe of the boot” continues to develop and thrive, creating a vibrant and supportive community for both residents and visitors alike.

I would also like to recognize the many individuals and community pages on Facebook that work tirelessly to promote the Burin Peninsula, showcase local businesses, share community events, and highlight the beauty and culture of our region. A special mention goes to Marceline Stacey from Adventures of the Rock, whose dedication to promoting not only our region, but all of Newfoundland and Labrador, helps shine a positive light on the people, walking and hiking trails, places, businesses, and experiences that make this province so unique.

A heartfelt shoutout goes to all of the businesses, entrepreneurs, and community supporters who continue to help our region grow and prosper. Your passion, hard work, and pride in our communities are what make the Burin Peninsula such a wonderful place to live, work, and visit. We are truly fortunate to be surrounded by so many people who care deeply about the future and success of this beautiful part of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Ocean Breeze Massage & Wellness are pleased to announce that our hours of operation will be extended for the summer on Tuesday's & Wednesday's until 8 p.m. providing you with more opportunities to visit us.

Additionally for the Month of May we will be opening our doors for two Saturdays May 9 and May 23 with exclusive bookings available
