Riley’s Happy Hive

🍂 Fall is just around the corner and there is nothing better than the smell of the fresh air as the temperature drops and the leaves begin to change.
I have chosen four fragrances to work with that I believe are the best for September. :)

Bourbon Pumpkin- a deliciously warm blend of pumpkin and bourbon with sweet maple brown sugar finished with a dash of cinnamon. * Bath bombs, candles, tea lights and wax melts.

Pure Rain- a refreshing blend of lime, mint and hyacinth.
* Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap, candles, tea lights and wax melts.

Cozy Flannel- notes of tonka bean, jasmine, patchouli and vanilla. * Candles, tea lights and wax melts.

Mahogany Apple- a friendly and warm blend of rich red mahogany woods, delicious apple, pink peppercorn and fresh lavender sprigs.
* Bath bombs, whipped soap, candles, tea lights and wax melts.

I haven't posted in a while but I am still stocking shelves and working on expanding my product line as well as looking into new resources and ingredients to work with. I have also recieved positive reviews regarding my wax melts and tea lights so I will continue to keep those in stock as well.

In the coming months I will be creating my own lip balm formula and investing in some new equipment so that I can continue to build onto Riley's Happy Hive and make my daughter proud.

Each season of the year is accompanied by it's own combination of scents and aromas that can evoke strong feelings, memories and experiences. During the summer, mother nature is in full bloom and I chose four fragrances that I believe represent this the most.

Sun&Sand- A tropical beach breeze of sweet orange blossom, bright citrus, french lavender and powdery musk. *Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, body butter, whipped soap, shine spray, wax melts, tea lights and candles.

Saltwater Sea Musk- honeydew melon, cantaloupe and light orange softens to a powdery rose with a slight hint of cinnamon freshness. *Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap, wax melts, tea lights and candles.

Coconut Paradise- creamy top notes of coconut blended with vanilla, peaches and base notes of rich butter. *Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, body butter, whipped soap, shine spray, wax melts, tea lights and candles.

Coral Reef- mango nectar, jasmine and beach lily are brightened with notes of sunkissed citrus and sea salt mist. *Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, body butter, whipped soap, shine spray, wax melts, tea lights and candles.

I am also very excited to announce the I have started the production of my wax melts and tea lights. A box of tea lights will be $6 and the wax melts will be $6 as well. To make my wax melts unique I used a different colorant than I use for my candles. When melted, the wax will display a gorgeous metallic-like shimmer.

With the hot weather and humidity I wanted to introduce my fresh and clean fragrance collection which I personally find useful for cooling off during hot summer days.☀️

Jungle Lily- A beautiful mix of salty sea air mists the petals of jungle lily, jasmine and palm leaves.

S*x Bomb- Clary Sage and Ylang Ylang blended into sweet night blooming Jasmine.

Peppermint- Certified organic essential oil.

Spearmint- Certified organic essential oil.

My posts will be a little bit different and more spread out from this point forward as I want to focus on improving my presentation, my labels and working on new products. :) Coming up next are wax melts and tea lights.

To conclude my ocean-based fragrance collection I saved the best for last. :)

South Pacific Waters- sea salt, sea moss and green vetiver round out to create a fresh ocean scent.

Salt Water Mermaid- watery green fragrance delicately combines notes of ocean mist and sea grass with agave nectar and coconut milk.

Baby Sharks- notes of sea salt air, lemon zest and coconut water blend with beach rose and sea grass.

This weeks fragrance collection (which will be divided into two separate posts) is one of my personal favorites and is inspired by the ocean. :)

Dancing Waters- ozonic scent with floral notes of cyclamen and freesia with a fresh splash of nature.

Abalone & Sea- a clean ocean scent with notes of daylily, sea spray, watery florals and musk.
* Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap and candles.

Black Salt & Cypress- a coastal storm of sea salt air, ocean spray, misted cypress and sunbleached driftwood.
* Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap and candles. I used activated charcoal in the body scrub and whipped soap for its pore-cleansing abilities.

This week I have decided to work with my fruit and citrus fragrance collection.

Manchurian Dragon: crisp pineapple and peach infused with citrusy orange, rose, wood violet and carnation that settles into a blend of vanilla and oakmoss.

Galactic Grape: grape mixed with ripened berries.
* Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap and candles.

Bahama Berry & Melon: sweet peach and berries blended with honeydew melon and jasmine with a hint of musk.
*Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap, shine spray and candles.

Beneath the Stars- grape, peach and plum with sparkling citrus, rose and musk.
*Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, and whipped soap.

*Note: glitter used in bath bombs is Bioglitter which is 100% natural derived from plant cellulose. :)

I have provided a photo of all available containers for scrubs, whipped soap, and body butter from smallest to largest (two in the middle are both 4 ounces) for reference. I am also very excited to announce I am planning on starting my lip balm collection this summer.

I will be making a few adjustments to the price list in my next post once I receive a few more items as I now have more size options available in scrubs, whipped soap, body butter, bath bombs and candles. Sampler sizes will also be available for those who would like to try more product for a reasonable price. 😊

Note: Shine spray has not been in the photos because I sold out, but I have more ingredients on the way to make them so they will be included next week or the week after. 🙂

It has been a hectic start to the week but I am glad to announce that my beeswax candles are officially for sale at $5 each with caution labels included. My wicks are made of 100% cotton and they are also lead-free. ☺️

Introducing the first three fragrances of my tropical collection.

Island Nectar- sweet notes of passionfruit, jasmine, sugared citrus and exotic florals.

Tropical Vacation- fresh pineapple with coconut, freshly squeezed orange and lime.

Bird of Paradise- pink jasmine and juicy strawberry blended with sheer musk.

I have come to the conclusion that I have a very broad selection of fragrances that are difficult to keep up with and I am only just starting my collection. To get people more familiar with them I have decided to make weekly posts dividing the fragrances I have into categories and providing a brief description of them as well as what products they work best with. All of my fragrances are phthalate and paraben free and 100% safe for use on skin and hair. I will be starting with scents inspired by nature that I currently have on hand. ☺️

Blue Winter Sky- notes of peppermint, spearmint, and cold winter air with a fresh blend of lime, crisp apple, bergamot, winter lily, coconut and galbanum.
*Best in products such as bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap, shine spray, lotion bars and candles. Works for both men and women but comes out more masculine in scrubs and whipped soaps.

Stormy Nights- floral hyacinth and heather with leafy green notes reminiscent of the smell of night air after a thunderstorm.
*Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap and candles. Unique scent, would be enjoyed specifically by those who like floral.

Forest Mist- hints of wild berries, valencia orange, and lemon intertwine with prime rose, white florals, wild sage, red cedar and musk.
* Bath salts, bath bombs, body scrubs, whipped soap, lotion bars and candles. Candle not included in photo as I am waiting on green candle colorant. 🙂

Autumn Breeze- orchid and ylang ylang blended with sandalwood, patchouli and freshly fallen leaves to make a crisp and woodsy scent.

Happy to announce I now have foaming whipped soap available for use in the bath or shower, it also has a PH level of 5.5 ( the ideal PH level for healthy skin is between 4.5 and 5.5) so it is perfectly mild and gentle enough for use on the face if desired. 🙂 The two scents I have displayed in the photos are S*x Bomb and Coconut Lime Verbena. 4 ounce containers are going for $10 each. Also, despite needing better molds and a bit more space to work I am getting further ahead in bath bomb making! I have managed to get my recipe to float, spin, foam and add scent and color to the water without staining the tub. They also have cocoa butter incorporated in them to help them harden and to moisturize your skin. I will be making sets in the future but I have settled on a fair price of $4.50 per bomb. ☺️
