Double Process Colour vs. Single Process Colour

Not sure what the difference is when booking your colour appointment? Here’s a simple breakdown 👇

Double Process Colour
Two separate colour steps. A common example is highlights or balayage using lightener, followed by a toner. It can also include a base colour paired with highlights or lowlights.

Single Process Colour
One colour step. This can include an all-over colour, root touch-up/grey coverage, going darker, or a toner/gloss on its own to refresh.

Because double-process services involve additional steps, they require more time and product than a single-process colour.

Maintenance vs. Correction ✨

Not every skin treatment needs to be corrective.
Maintenance is about keeping healthy skin healthy. Regular exfoliation, hydration, supporting the skin barrier and staying consistent with your home care and treatments.

Correction is when we’re actively working toward improving a specific concern like pigmentation, acne, scarring, texture, fine lines or uneven skin tone. This usually requires a series of treatments and a little more patience.

The biggest difference? Your goal.

A single treatment can leave your skin feeling refreshed and glowing, but when we’re trying to create real change in the skin, consistency matters.

Your treatment plan should meet your skin where it’s at. Whether that means maintaining what you have or working toward something you’d like to improve 🤍
