✨These photos were taken an hour apart✨
This mare had an injury to her hip after a fall on ice, after being vet checked, she’s had a chiropractic adjustment and receives PEMF treatments as well.
Her back showed uneven muscling, which could be from compensation due to the extent of her injury. At first, the muscles appeared to be soft and squishy, but after some cross-fibre friction it was evident that her deep muscles showed restrictions.
Following our bodywork session, immediate results were visible for this mare, and she was able to weight bear that hip more comfortably. I love being a part of any and all horse wellness programs, but this one felt special.

Some days, you just have to slow it down and connect.
The end goal with my son’s welsh pony is to have her pick him up from anywhere, anytime. So we’ve started with the side pass to me! She makes every session enjoyable.

🐴Normal topline muscling OR restricted muscles?🐴
This pony appeared to have an oversized topline and it was incredibly hard and dense to the touch, due to overcompensating.
With careful deep pressure and cross fibre friction, she was able to release some deeply rooted tension, and progress was seen after just one session!

🐴Normal posture OR restricted muscles? 🐴
This little filly was a certified giraffe. She exhibited an abnormally high headset and she struggled with lowering her head when asked.
She was extremely restricted in her re**us capitis dorsalis major et minor and her obliquus capitis caudalis (her poll). As well as her sternomandibular, subclavius, pectoralis descendens and her rhomboideus cervicus.
Throughout our session she had many actions of licking and chewing, yawning, a soft eye, and most importantly— lowering of the head, which she struggled to do so before our session.

This little filly showed me she enjoyed her much needed bodywork session today!

✨How can bodywork help you AND your horse?✨
Horse & Rider example:
This riders primary complaint is the lack of mobility in her right hip, which she gets chiropractic adjustments for as well as massage.
Her horse also receives chiropractic adjustments on her SI (sacroiliac) joint. Afterwards— that’s where I come in. The horse was extremely restricted in her serratus dorsalis caudalis (caudal dorsal serrate) and multifidus thoracis et lumborum muscles, particularly on the right side, to compensate for the riders restricted movement.
These two have come a long way and I’m so proud of them both. I notice improvements with every session!🥰
If you get chiropractic or massage work done on yourself, I guarantee your horse would benefit from a bodywork session. If your horse has a chiropractic adjustment, I guarantee they would benefit from a bodywork session, to relax the muscles that have been overcompensating for its structural imbalance.
