Today marks another year since my dad died. For a long time I thought grief was something I would eventually 'get over.'

Instead, I've learned that grief changes shape.

It softens, surprises, aches, teaches, and reminds. It is the price of loving someone deeply.

Today I'm holding both the sadness of missing him and the gratitude of having loved him at all. ❤️
