🎊 HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY TO THE HAUS 🎊

Ten years ago today, Emma was getting ready to open the doors for the Haus’ first clients and Jimmy was away in Barrie doing a crash course on barbering.

We were a couple for barely a year, $100 to our names, Jimmy has never worked in a barbershop or seriously ever did a haircut, and Emma was living off of Pepsi and peanut butter. But we had a vision.

We knew if we didn’t give this a whirl it would have always been our “Could have, would have, should have”. Thankfully, you clients showed up! Emma has had the privilege of seeing some of you since moving back to Sudbury in 2013, and your unwavering support were some of the fundamental building blocks to get us to a decade.

Years 2016 - 2019 were magic. Full of firsts, new partnerships, new stations, MARGE!, bands and DJs on the roof, travelling outside of Canada for education, teaming up with local festivals, belly laughs and a lot of naivety. We were on top of the world and Covid quickly put us in our place.

2020 made us realize how lucky and nuts our clients actually are. You all carried us through the hardest time our industry has ever faced. We made merch (mad props to ) online tutorials, and got to join online education we would never have the opportunity to attend in human.

Lockdown ended and we were so back baby! Time for new product, new partners, a new mural on our fence! (.thought we’re still screaming) a renewed passion! We were not going to skip a beat.

We have been given the privilege to have a place and a career we are happy to show up to every day, travel the world, be a part of our clients lives and journeys, build a team that is thicker than thieves, and honestly, just be down right little freaks. Ten years doesn’t even feel real, but we think there’s a little saying that goes, “time flies when you’re having fun.”

So, to the many hands that helped along the way, from flooring, signs, broken windows, emotional support, our families, friends, old and new clients and our beloved team, cheers to 10 years (and many, many more!) 🥂✨
