“I am not sure where to begin. I contacted you in 2021 because my hair was thinning and I did not feel comfortable with it. I ended up cancelling the appointment. I was not ready to face it yet. Then finally in 2025 after wearing hats and other camouflage I finally got up the nerve to come to an appointment. Why why why did I not do this sooner !!!! “ I am 72 and decided it was time to cut my shoulder length medium brown hair and begin the process of letting my grey take over! This was no easy feat, believe me! Adrian decided on HUMAN HAIR so she can use heat tools and curl it when she feels like a wavy look! The following is an explanation of what has caused her hair loss.

Trichotillomania, also known as hair-pulling disorder or compulsive hair pulling, is a mental disorder characterized by a long-term urge that results in the pulling out of one's own hair. A brief positive feeling may occur as hair is removed.

The quality of the wig she chose is THE BEST… every hair is put in one by one which means it moves like your bio hair would.
The cap is a stretchy and extremely light. It conforms to your head and fits like a glove!

This is her own words:

On Friday April 25th, 2025 I had my PERMANENT hair topper put in to allow me to feel like I was still living a “normal” lifestyle this summer as a topper lets you swim, shower, style and sleep with it because it truly is your hair now!! It’s attached with tiny connectors and does not come off until time for my monthly visit for a reset. It prevented me from hair pulling!

But now only after 5 months I have had enough significant hair growth and success with not pulling to feel comfortable switching over to a removable wig as we are moving into the colder seasons and was looking for a change in style.

Hair pulling will forever be a journey I continue learning to live with but I am happy to say I have not pulled hair for well over 4 months now and its not happening unconsciously anymore as I became so used to not having direct access to my scalp.

Because of this I I'm truly thankful for the wig boutique for creating such detailed hair care routines and providing a wide selection of styles and options for everyone. The hair care routines allowed me to not focus on touching/playing with my hair so much as the routine was set out for me, but also the topper allowed for growth to happen without me knowing as it was all underneath the topper so each month felt exciting to come in and see how much more my hair had grown in.

As for the wig once I put it on I WAS IN LOVE WITH IT!! It has given me another confidence boost and I am excited to start trying different styles as I am in control I have when it comes to changing my style from braids, waves, curls to straight hair and exploring the length I have again!!”

“I went to my Orthodontist appointment with Winnie!

This was my first time wearing a wig, a beautiful short darker grey pixie (Winnie) for daily wear, and it has exceeded all my expectations.

One month ago I wanted to try a wig or hair topper for a novel experience. Unexpectedly I was diagnosed with carcinoma in my scalp. I have a large treatment generated alopecia (5 inch circle on the back of my scalp) some of which will be permanent. My treatment experience has been nothing short of phenomenal, we are so fortunate to have health care so comprehensive and caring.
