The Sunscreen Company
The World's Best Sunscreens and Luxury Cosmeceuticals. www.thesunscreencompany.com What does it mean to make our products with Love? Simple.
We see the industry as being divided with arbitrary barriers. Why can’t a skincare company be open, inclusive and label-free? What unites all of our products is the common belief that you make the best skincare when you bring together expertise from across disciplines. There is no reason why unique specialties like dermatology, endocrinology (the study of hormonal health), formulations, the green beauty movement and ecology cannot speak to each other and inform each other. When we set aside these artificial barriers, the possibilities are endless. We can make skincare that is founded in science and creates beautiful and protected skin. We want open hearts and open minds, friendly faces and warm smiles. We want to bring you the best sunscreen in the world and we want cosmetics to match. We hope when you hold our products in your hand, you feel the Love, you share the Love and keep returning for the Love. From our family to yours, thank-you.

If everyone is just going to be making doodles….

What happens when a product drops from another brand and it looks remarkably similar to one you have had out for years? Honestly, you tell them they look cute and go on with your day. We’re not asking for a writers credit on another’s song.
Now if your product formula and concept is an attempt at duping years of work and creativity, best believe we are going to engage the services of whoever represents Taylor Swift in her disputes. The letter we send will be…terse.

The most boring, moderate and long-winded take that will make everyone on both sides of the sunscreen controversy mad. 😡

What are the benefits to actually rubbing in sunscreen in vs spraying it on and letting it ‘air dry’? Your skin may look smooth but it has hills and valleys. When applying sunscreen, you want to push your sunscreen into the valleys and not just float on top of the hills. Hence the act of rubbing your sunscreen in actually improves its ability to protect your skin thoroughly. So no sunscreen application by osmosis, at least not yet. And also, sunscreen application tips are great but we would still argue the quality of your sunscreen matters most. Lock in to our profile page for the ultimate in sunscreen education.

Trend on the rise on Reddit….sunscreens WITHOUT Niacinamide. It’s the skincare ingredient that feels like it’s in everything. Its prevalence means it can be hard to find skincare and suncare without it. Have you ever had issues with this ingredient? Especially all the friends with rosacea…
If you know someone suffering from rosacea looking for a niacinamide free sunscreen (that is also fragrance free and essential oil free)…you know what to do. Share with a friend! No gatekeeping here.

There has been a lot of Hot Talk 🥵this week.
Here is what some Cool Minds 😎 have said if it helps bring down your temperature.
One of the biggest searches on Reddit right now is sunscreen without niacinamide. It’s become such a popular ingredient, especially within K beauty that it has become almost ubiquitous in skincare and sunscreens. It’s meant to be helpful for people with Rosacea but many find the opposite. They just can’t tolerate it, especially when it’s in everything. We’ve never been trend driven so we don’t have it in any of our products or sunscreens. We also do not include fragrance or essential oils in any of our facial care products. If you have rosacea then meet your rosacea friendly sunscreen.
We’re a big believer in checking out Reddit to see what’s bubbling up in the Skinverse. Turns out it’s a big quest to find a sunscreen (and skincare line) that is not full of niacinamide and also fragrance free. Ummm…check and check. Guess it pays to not follow what everyone else is doing.
