My skin and I didn't really get along when I was younger. We only started becoming friends just a few years ago. I wear those battle scars on my face to this date but here is the good news. I have finally found something that works for both my skin and myself.

My Friend Anita had started using Countercontrol a few months ago. Below is Anita sharing her experience with the products.

"I started using Beautycounter products as I felt I needed a change for my skin, as regular products I was using were not making a difference for me, or showing any change or benefit to my skin. My other products would do their actual job of toning or moisturizing but would be a very short term solution, in which I would need to reapply through the day, or use more product. I also find after using the same product after awhile, my skin starts to look and feel the safe, so I needed a change and wanted to try something new.

My husband has been using Beautycounter Counterman products for a few months.
The other day he goes "hey I want to give you a product review for Counterman". That itself is a testament to him liking the products because half the time he doesn't really know what he is using. So it was definitely something I had to share.

He told me to tell people "it is smooth but not oily. You know what I mean, it moisturizes but doesn't make me feel oily". 😁

My husband has combination dry skin. In winter he gets chapped skin from being exposed to weather elements. But as you can see, he is dealing with this winter like a champ using Counterman. I got some great feedback from a lovely lady that tried out samples of Beautycounter Countermatch products, and Vitamin C + serum.

"So I tried Countermatch cleanser, followed by their toner, serum, and lotion as a part of my morning skin care routine. I’m pleased with the cleanser as it left my skin feeling fresh and supple. Together with the toner, serum, and the moisturizer, it did a great job of making me feel fresh throughout the day without giving the feeling of drenched in products. Also I tend to get dry flakes around the nose as a result of constantly wearing a face mask these days, but I really didn’t notice that after starting this routine. The moisturizer gives a slight sheen after applying but sans the oily look. Since I don’t wear any makeup, the slight glow was to my liking.

The only thing that wasn’t much appealing about these products to me was their odor. Some don’t smell at all (which is a good thing) and some, specially the moisturizer, has a slight “oily” smell to it. This is expected since they use a lot if natural oils and they’re devoid of any fragrance chemicals. So I think in the end it’d be an upside to get used to odorless products that aren’t loaded with toxic fragrance chemicals. So far I’m very pleased and I’ll continue to use these for another couple of weeks and probably stick with Countermatch products for all my skin care needs."
