Malerie is back!!!!!
๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐: Meet , our clinic's newest Registered Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. With recent graduation from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and qualification through the OSTCAN association, Malerie is ready to take patients for osteopathic appointments!โฃ
โฃ
You may or may not know this, but many of our practitioners here at NCMC also share their work and passions online, and we want to put them in the spotlight ๐ค. Check out our practitioner highlights for more spotlights if you missed them before!โฃ
โฃ
Malerie always knew deep down that the body could self-heal and self-regulate. She has searched for years to heal the body through different modalities. Through food; attending Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida. Through movement;healing from her own surgery. Then finally, osteopathy found her.โฃ
โฃ
Malerie treats the body as a whole; for the body is a dynamic unit of function. Osteopathy is an alternative medicine that emphasizes manual readjustment through myofascial release, post isometric relaxation and articulation. Essentially, OMPs realign the body in the center of gravity, relaxing and lengthening the tissues allowing fluid to flow in the path of least resistance and continue to heal on its own.โฃ
โฃ
At NCMC, ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง is very passionate about her practice. She offers free 15 minute phone consultations so you can get clear about your challenges and health goals and determine if Malerie is the right fit for you.โฃ

Do you find yourself racing to the pantry when youโre feeling down, anxious, stressed or otherwise upset?โฃ
โฃ
Finding comfort in food is common, but not always helpful. This coping strategy is part of a practice called ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ.โฃ
โฃ
People who are prone to emotional eating tend to reach for food several times a week (or more often) to suppress and soothe negative feelings. They may feel guilt or shame after eating this way, leading to a cycle of excessive eating and associated issues, like weight gain, low self esteem and food anxiety.โฃ

Certain foods cause an increase in inflammation, while other foods are anti-inflammatory and help decrease inflammation in the body. โฃ

Eating anti-inflammatory foods can prevent health problems like heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer's disease. It can also improve symptoms of arthritis, type 2 diabetes, and irritable bowel syndrome. โฃ
โฃ
When you attend this webinar you'll learn all the details of the anti-inflammatory diet and why it works. You'll also get recipe ideas and tips on how to follow an anti-inflammatory diet!โฃ
