Created by silk artist Coleen Davidson, this breathtaking piece is 100% silk, hand painted and finished with machine embroidery.

Coleen describes the inspiration behind her work beautifully:

“In my work I imagine the feel of water and our relationship to all beings that we share this precious resource with. To me whales are profoundly beautiful and intelligent beings, worthy of our respect and protection.”

We are incredibly grateful to Coleen for lending Beauty of the Deeps to our waterfront boutique. It feels very much at home here — surrounded by the water, nature and East Coast landscape that inspire so much of what we do.
