I will be @ Personal Image Today rebooking appointments that were missed over the last 3 months. Please realize that it may take a few days to get back to everyone. My first day behind the chair is slated for June 9, The June 5th start is just unrealistic with the volume of work that needs to be done to be ready to keep US ALL safe.

Please realize that I will do everything that I can to get you in, in the most timely manner that I am able to. Please also realize that due to new protocols put in place because of Covid-19, that my daily bookings are much more limited and now, the work that would have been done in a week, is more likely to take 1.5-2 weeks to accomplish behind the chair.

Hi hair friends. We just got the go ahead for reopening our services on the June 5th. I have had 25 text messages, 6 phonecalls and 2 Facebook messages in 1 hour. Please leave me a personal message either in facebook group, my personal facebook messenger or [email protected] and I will be intouch personally in the next 2-4 days to help you get booked in. I will be having a phone consult with all of you to figure out timing and to go over salon protocol. I hope you’re all well, and I look forward to seeing you all behind the chair!

From the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia

On March 18th, the Nova Scotia Government mandated that all Salons and Spas close to slow the spread of COVID-19. Due to the very nature of our industry, it is impossible to provide a service while adhering to the Physical Distance mandated by the Government. We have directed our Members to follow this ordinance.

Now we are asking you, the public, to work with us and refrain from contacting your service provider with requests for home services. Not only are you are putting yourself, and your service provider at risk for spreading COVID-19, you are subjecting your service provider to a fine of $7500 daily! This may seem harsh, but it is necessary.

We are all in this together and our Members will be excited to see you once we are past this. For now, we encourage you to support them as they have supported you through the years and to not place them in a difficult situation by asking for home services. We all have a moral and legal obligation to obey if we want to bring this pandemic under control.

Hi lovely people.

A couple things to consider:
1) I am used to seeing you all. If there is stuff going on in your life that you want or need to talk about please text, call or email. We are social critters and it is important that we have outlets. I may be your hairstylist but I am a friend as well and I know much about your lives and Im still here to share in the ups and the downs and listen

2) I really don’t know how long this is going to be. I will qualify for relief starting sometime in April. Im a bit strapped till then, those darn supplier bills still need to be paid. Stupid suppliers.
This is a big ask;
I will, if anyone wants to buy either a salon credit or gift certificate, increase the value by 15%.
Ex 50= 57.50
100=115
I can add these credits directly to your account or send you up some sort of fancy email certificate if you are gifting it to a friend or family.
I can take email transfer or credit via the phone (you can get your credit card points)
I know these are difficult times for all of us, i have absolutely no expectations for this, but I do appreciate your help. Small business is indeed small and on average it takes about 65% of my profits to keep the bills paid, to keep my chair operating.

For those who have already paid in advance for your next appointment, i will add the 15% + to your account.

3) I will continue to post updates and some hair tricks here. Please stay tuned. I am also tagging Ashleigh Long in this post as she is able to help you with future appointments.

UPDATE Tuesday, March 17th, 2020

Dear Clients and friends
Given the critical nature of the current Covid-19 situation, we will be closing the salon, effective tomorrow morning.

We value you as people and as clients. We love and enjoy talking with and creating with you everyday. We hope by taking these measures now, that we can be soon again open and with you, sharing all of the wonderful stories and joy that you bring to our business.

At this time please remember and hold dear the people that are close to you. Lend your helping hand, create joy, practice gratitude for what we have. Help the old folks down the street, the young to understand and be patient and kind with yourselves.

Nancy and I will be in constant contact through our numbers, we will revisit new information on the weekend and be updating you via text, phone call and social media. We will reschedule postponed appointments as soon as we are able.

Dear clients and friends- UPDATE March 16/2020

Currently the salon is still open, and we are doing everything in our power to maintain the highest levels of sanitation, disinfection and sterilization that we are able to practice. Cleaning chairs, combs, brushes, clips, clippers, capes and wiping down all high use surfaces. Hand washing and sanitizer is available to you and we strongly encourage you to use them before, during and after your services.

During this time I ask for you to consider thinking of your health, others, and to stay at home if you are feeling unwell, physically or mentally, please give yourselves a break. If you are uncertain, stay home. Listen to your body and please stay away. We have older and at risk clients and we need to consider those folk as well as our team. Uncertain of what the heck to do? Call me.

If you Have travelled now both internationally or nationally, please contact me to reschedule. I will be compiling a list and will happily reschedule appointments at a time when the NSHA sees appropriate.

At this time i will also not be seeing new clients at least for the remainder of the month, as a way of controlling our contact to a smaller community.

I will continue to update here as the NSHA , the Province and Canadian government provide us with information and measures.
