HAIR MYTH — EPISODE 2 👀
“If you’re trying to grow your hair, you shouldn’t cut it.”
FALSE. ❌
Trimming your hair doesn’t make it grow faster — and it doesn’t stop it from growing either.
Your hair grows from your scalp. The challenge is actually RETAINING that length as it gets longer.
Regular trims help maintain compromised, thinning or splitting ends before that damage continues further up the hair shaft.
For many of my clients, around the 12-week mark is a great starting point — but your ideal schedule depends on your hair, your chemical history, your styling habits and the condition of your ends.
The goal isn’t to constantly cut off your growth.
It’s to maintain your ends so you can KEEP more of the length you’re growing. 🤍
Growing hair and retaining length are two different things.
HAIR MYTH — EPISODE 1 👀
“Fine hair doesn’t need conditioner.”
FALSE. ❌
Fine hair still needs conditioning — the key is finding the right formulation for YOUR hair.
If your conditioner leaves your fine hair feeling heavy, flat or greasy, that doesn’t necessarily mean you should skip conditioner altogether. You may simply need something lighter and to be intentional about where you’re applying it.
Think of conditioner like the finishing step after cleansing: helping smooth, condition and improve the manageability of your hair.
Fine hair doesn’t need NO conditioner.
It needs the RIGHT conditioner. 🤍

LET’S TALK HAIR — EPISODE 12 🎙️
You wash your hair… but when was the last time you washed your HAIRBRUSH? 👀
Your brush comes into contact with oil, product and buildup every single time you use it — and then we take that same brush and run it straight through freshly washed hair.
And your brush isn’t the only thing touching your hair every day.
Your pillowcase matters too.
Keeping it clean and choosing a smoother fabric like silk or satin can help reduce friction, tangling and help preserve your style while you sleep.
Because hair care isn’t only about the shampoo, masks and treatments you buy.
It’s also about how you’re treating your hair every single day. 🤍
So… when did you last clean your hairbrush? 😂
Save this as your reminder.
LET’S TALK HAIR — EPISODE 11 🎙️
Professional shampoo & conditioner: worth the money… or just an expensive bottle? 👀
Here’s my take as a hairstylist: I’m conscious of cost too — but home care is one place I choose to invest.
Especially if you’re already investing hundreds of dollars into your hair at the salon.
But buying professional doesn’t mean buying EVERYTHING.
Your shampoo and conditioner don’t even need to match.
Your scalp, your lengths, your chemical history and what you actually want your hair to DO can all require different things.
And if the price of professional haircare makes you hesitate? Look at cost per use — not just the price on the bottle. Litres, pumps and seasonal duo sales can make a huge difference.
You don’t need a shelf full of expensive products.
You need the right products for YOUR hair — and you need to know how to use them.
Save this before your next shampoo run. 🤍
LET’S TALK HAIR — EPISODE 10 🎙️
If you’re waiting until your hair is greasy to reach for dry shampoo… you’re already late. 👀
Think of dry shampoo like deodorant — use it before you desperately need it.
Shake it. Section your hair. Spray strategically. Let it sit. Massage it in. Brush it through.
Dry shampoo isn’t meant to replace washing your hair — it’s a tool to help absorb excess oil and keep your hair looking refreshed between wash days.
And PLEASE let it sit before you immediately start rubbing it in. Give it time to do its job. 🙌🏻
The right product + the right technique can make a huge difference.
Save this for your next wash day. 🤍
