Spring is here! I'm so loving the great weather lately 😍😍

My first time being a pattern tester and also my first time actually finishing a garment project! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of the Spider Web Crochet Top; it was a really fun process and I learned a lot, and I'm so happy to finally find a good use for this beautiful recycled yarn I got and how it turned out!

It's the end of the year of 2025!! I want to thank everyone who has been there for me and who gave me countless great memories this year. This has been a busy year with many good things and changes! I met many amazing people and made meaningful connections, and I'm so grateful to everyone who made 2025 so much better than it otherwise would've been.

This year, I expanded my business from Helen's Little Herbal Shop to Lace & Leaves by Helen, with which I redirected my business and tea care products, added crochet accessories to my offerings as well as more tea blends, all of which have been such a blast to create!

I also started with , who has been the most amazing friend that helped me through difficult times and pushed me forward in both my personal and our collaboration projects to bring many of my/our visions to life. We are now looking at more workshops and markets for 2026, including a free workshop at in the coming spring, and I'm so excited to continue working with to see what the year and our collaboration bring us!

And I was finally able to start Crochet for Mutual Aid, one of the projects I've been thinking about for a long time. It started with a small collaboration with the amazing making little hanging pouches for mutual aid donations (which is still on-going--check post in my profile), and now I'm making little pie and sunflower keychains at a reduced rate where all the profits go to mutual aid donations. I still need to get a few things organized, but I have more plans for this project- so stay tuned!!

Finally, I'm happy to report that my winter mutual aid pwyc donations and CfM this year raised $91, with which I was able to send $50 donations to a community member and to land defenders (receipts in last 2 pics).

Though I was not able to do everything I wanted and there are still many more things I need to get to, I am happy to say that I achieved many of my goals this year (new years resolution check ✔️ -- for once lol), and I'm looking forward to what 2026 will bring for Lace & Leaves!! I'm launching Crochet for Mutual Aid, something I've been thinking about for a while, tonight at the Marquee Marquet!! I'll be making key chains when I can of pies and sunflowers, all the sales will go towards mutual aid efforts after my basic material costs are covered. I'll also be making some tea cup key chains to go towards SPCA. Everything will be $10 each. I'll be having these at my markets, or you can message me for one anytime! This will be an ongoing project, and I'll be posting the keychains here as I go 💕💕

I realized I have only been posting about my crochet and not my tea 😱 For this winter, I brought back 2 of my winter blends: Taiwanese Ginger and Roasted Orange.

Taiwanese Ginger is a twist on a traditional Taiwanese winter drink, an herbal tea made to warm you up during the cold days.

Roasted Orange is a low caffeine tea meant to invoke the winter nostalgia, with a strong note of malty cocoa on your nose and the mellow flavour of cinnamon and orange.

Just dropped off 2 poppy pins for Remembrance Day for a custom order! One is a poppy flower and the other is my best imitation of the Remembrance Day Poppy. Had a lot of fun and challenges to making these two pins, and in a time crunch too! Will be making more next year! Dm if you want one for yourself 💕💕
