We are excited to offer physiotherapy treatment options for individuals experiencing breast cancer-related concerns.

Physiotherapy can play an important role in supporting recovery, function, and overall quality of life throughout and following treatment. Some common concerns we can help address include:

• Scar tissue management
• Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy
• Shoulder mobility and strength limitations
• Fatigue
• Osteoporosis-focused exercise programs
• Postural changes and discomfort

Treatment begins with a one-on-one assessment in a private treatment room, where care is tailored to your individual needs, goals, and stage of recovery.

With great sadness, we say goodbye to our friend, colleague, and mentor, Dr. Robert Stalker.

As young physiotherapists, Bob took us (Mike and Anita) under his wing. He encouraged us to join him on a trip to Washington University in St. Louis to learn from Shirley Sahrmann—an experience that ultimately helped shape our careers as physiotherapists.

Those trips became an annual tradition, and through them we gained not only invaluable knowledge but also lifelong friendships. Bob was a larger-than-life presence, always introducing us to others, opening doors, and making sure we got the very most out of every opportunity.

Over the years, Bob was incredibly generous with his time, knowledge, and support of both us and our clinic. More importantly, he was a wonderful friend whose impact on our lives and the lives of so many others will never be forgotten.

Thank you, Bob, for your mentorship, kindness, and unwavering belief in us. We are forever grateful.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone whose life he touched. He will be deeply missed.

7 days post-op ACL reconstruction and already making incredible progress. 🙌

Full knee extension, near-full flexion, controlled swelling, strong quad activation, and zero pain.

Early rehab after ACL reconstruction focuses on restoring movement, managing swelling, rebuilding strength, and helping patients regain confidence throughout recovery.

Awesome early progress from one of Thomas’ ACL rehab patients at Young Kempt Physiotherapy 💪

Shoutout to this incredibly dedicated and hard-working patient for the effort they’ve already put in.

The work will be completed in phases, and according to HRM, business access will be maintained throughout construction.

If you have any questions about getting to your appointment, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Thank you for your patience, we look forward to seeing you!

Five Years. One Tradition 🎣

Every year, Mike, Nathan, Chad, and Pat head to the Miramichi for a few days of fishing, catching up, and spending time together.

While clinics evolve and careers take different paths, it's nice to see that some traditions continue. We're grateful to be part of a physiotherapy community that's built on long-standing friendships and mutual support.

Here's to year six.

Dizziness when you change positions? It could be more than just “feeling off.”

One common cause is BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) — a condition that can create brief spinning sensations with certain head movements.
The good news: it’s something physiotherapists can assess and treat.

Using specific hands on repositioning techniques, we can help move the underlying cause (tiny crystals in the inner ear) and resolve symptoms — often quite quickly.

Nathan Brenan has advanced training in concussion and vestibular rehabilitation and takes a hands-on, personalized approach to care — helping you understand your symptoms and get back to feeling like yourself.

If you’re experiencing dizziness, vertigo, or balance issues, don’t ignore it.

Book with Nathan at Young Kempt Physiotherapy to get assessed and start your recovery.
