This is my daughter and I in the summer of 2018.
I was the "smallest" I had been and felt I was also there fittest. Truth is, this was probably the most unhealthy I have ever been.
My nervous system was in tatters. I had an incredibly unhealthy relationship with food and body dysmorphia. I was stuck in a disordered eating cycle. I was also in an abusive relationship at the time because I didn't feel I deserved to be loved any better. I chose to control food and exercise as everything else in my life was out of control.
I was also just surviving.... not living, not breathing. Just surviving. I was a shell. I carried weight that was not mine and it was crushing. I was taking care of everyone except myself because I felt it was my role as a woman and a mother.
Does any of this sound familiar? This is why I have created a safe space for women to come together and be vulnerable and empower eachother. To rise from the ashes together.
This week, I challenge you to ask yourself this question... What would happen if you had a whole week of not having to take care of anyone but yourself? Would it be freedom or panic? There is no judgment either way!
Women’s Circle this Wednesday at 7:15pm - we explore the difference of being in service and on service.

I subbed in for another teacher last night and, on my drive down, I saw the fog lifting from the ground and it made me stop to take it in for a moment.
It's ironic how nature always show me what I need to see if I take the time to look.
The summer solstice is so much more than the longest day of the year. It is the start of the slow descent back into darkness of the upcoming seasons. It is also a time to honour our journey and see how far we have come and how we can always choose the sun and light.
So, as I see the fog being burned away by the sun and lifting from the earth, I took a moment to honour that same journey in my life.
May you all have a blessed second half of the year and may you all honour the wonderful, messy, beautiful you that you are right now. ❤️

🌙 Women’s Circle 🌙
A space to soften.
To be witnessed.
To reconnect with yourself and community.
Join me for an evening of gentle connection, reflection, meditation, and heartfelt conversation as we gather in circle together. This is an invitation to slow down, nourish your spirit, and come home to yourself in the company of other women.
Topic of discussion will be looking at the difference of being of service and being on service.
✨ What to expect:
• Grounding meditation
• Meaningful connection
• Gentle Somatic movement if time permits
No experience is needed — just come as you are.
🤍 Date: Wednesday July 8
🤍 Time: 7:15pm to 8:30pm
🤍 Location: Case United Church
Spaces are limited to keep the circle intimate. Cost is free but asking you to pay it forward in some small way.
Please message to reserve your spot.
✨️ note - I will be holding space and am trauma informed but I am not a trauma therapist.

We may have been soaked through with rain, but it was an amazing afternoon filled with laughs, cows and movement!
The rain and thunder while in the yurt added a beautiful ambience to class that was very grounding and meditative.
Check back for dates in October to go back!

When we choose to find joy, it is all around us.
It is found in the small things like skipping rocks on the water and the laughter of family. In the sparkle of light on the surface of the lake and the sounds of the waves gently crashing on the sand.
My life forever changed in an instant 9 years ago and I chose to honour that moment with joy instead of anger and sadness. While I still live with those emotions inside of me, I actively chose to focus on the beauty that I am surrounded with today.
Feeling the bad is necessary for healing but so is feeling the good and I chose that today.
Tomorrow... well, that may be another story 😉
