I am alwayyyys up for a challenge whether it’s extension installs, colour matching, colour correction or all of the above.
This lovely client has very fine short hair and also has quite the unique colour. So. Had to trouble shoot to make the most of her install. We combined k tips in her nape, crown and sides and 1 row with 3 hand tied wefts. We did a shadow root of the wefts and toned everything to this very cool blue ash and did a nice cut to blend. She’s feeling like herself and I’m feeling like this colour match is 👌🏼

That Bronde Though 🤎💛
We added two shades of brown k tips or bonded extensions - chocolate and light cool brown- to complete this look. These shades compliment eachother beautifully. Most of the application was custom highlighted and lowlighted- this means we cut K tips in half or 3 quarters and bonded two colours together in each bond. This creates a super seamless and blended extension look. Adding just 1 of each colour to each bonded extension would have created a very chunky and unnatural appearance. We don’t do that here 🙅🏼‍♀️

Here we installed very blonde extensions on a client who had grown out highlights. We rooted down her extensions and added lowlights. We then did a root smudge of her own hair to tone down the blonde and match the extensions!
⭐️ Fun Fact: I never formulate the same for extensions and natural hair. For extensions I always add warmth or gold into the formula to prevent the extensions from going muddy or green cast. For her natural hair I added cool or ash tones to the formula to cancel out her naturally accuring pigment! Colouring extensions and natural hair to match can sometimes feel like a Tetris puzzle in my brain 🫠 everything has to fit.

Yup it’s extensions! This cutie pie is nearing the end of her extension life span so she decided to do a nice chop on her hand tied wefts. We also added some teeny tiny microbonds in the front of her hair to extend the money piece and fill in gaps around the hair line. ✂️

Fall Glow Up Szn 🍁🍂
After a summer of fun in the sun everyone needs a colour or extension refresher!
Here we did a root touch up with some hand painted lowlights for some subtle dimension. We glossed with a clear coat at the sink to seal in cuticles and add lots of shine. We added two rows of hand tied extensions in two brown shades. And voila. She’s fall ready 🍁☺️🍂

Fall tone downs have begun. 😇. Instead of the super trendy we cooled this cutie into a creamy bronde with a few pops of highlights. Loving the cool browns in this install of ktips! Questions feel free to dm

Can you say hair goals? ✌🏼
Individual micro bonded extensions for this fine haired gal. Matching density to density is extremely important when applying bonded extensions. Even weight distribution makes for the most comfortable and safe extension application. Tag your fine haired bestie 😘😂. It’s her time.
