Here’s how I do things:

I will always explain pricing so you understand what you’re investing in, even if I can’t adjust the cost.I will always prefer a cancellation over a no-show.I will always try to be understanding, because sometimes I need flexibility too.

Mutual respect matters here. Not perfection.

Why are salons closed on Mondays? ✂️

Long before modern salons, barbers weren’t just cutting hair.
They were trusted with much more… including minor surgical work.

Monday became the day for those procedures, when the tools came out for more than just hair.

As the industry evolved, the services changed… but the schedule stayed.

What used to be a day for precision work became a day for rest, reset, and preparation.

Some traditions don’t disappear.
They just transform.

Let’s talk about purple, blue, rose, black — all the tinted shampoos on the market.

How do they work?
They are mildly alkaline, which means they gently lift the cuticle just enough to deposit pigment slightly into the cuticular layer — creating the cooler tone you see after using them.

But here’s what most people don’t realize…

What else lifts the cuticle?
Hair colour. Lightener (bleach). Any alkaline solution.

So what happens when the cuticle is opened too frequently?
Hair becomes brittle, dull, and more prone to breakage. This significantly reduces the options your stylist has when working on your hair.

And there’s more — tinted shampoos don’t just add tone…
They also gradually remove the toner your stylist has placed into your hair.

That’s why they should be used sparingly, and ideally toward the end of your colour’s lifespan — more like a treatment, not an everyday shampoo.

Used correctly, they’re a helpful tool.
Used too often, they work against your hair.

AI Hair Inspo vs. Real Life Hair 🎨

AI-generated images can be beautiful, creative, and inspiring… but they’re not always realistic when it comes to actual hair colour results.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Placement isn’t real-world placement
AI “paints” colour onto hair without following natural growth patterns, density, or movement. Real hair has flow, fall, and structure that colour has to work with, not against.

2. Not all colours exist in real life
Some tones and blends you see are digitally created and simply can’t be achieved with real pigments. Lighting and rendering can also exaggerate brightness, softness, or contrast.

3. Use them as inspiration, not expectation
AI images are a great starting point for ideas. But translating them to real hair means adapting for what’s actually possible — and what will look best on you.
