🩷Marley’s Salon December update.🩷

I wanted to share a little update, since my 4–6 weeks “off” officially ended last week and there’s been some confusion about appointments. ❤️‍🩹

The truth is… not much has changed with my health, and I’m still needing to take more time off — likely until the New Year, possibly longer. I know this isn’t the news anyone was hoping for, but it’s what my body is telling me it needs.

From now on, if you’re unsure whether you still have an appointment or if it was cancelled, please reach out to me directly. I’d rather you ask than be left wondering or one of us showing up and not the other.

I also want to be clear that I’m not returning to my full-time hours yet. I simply don’t have it in me. If you happen to see me in the salon here and there, it’s because I felt up to it — but those appointments will be light, “just to get you by” visits. No full-head foils, no big color services. Just enough to help keep you feeling okay until I’m fully back.

I’m still not taking new clients at this time. I’ll be slowly working through my book and reconnecting with clients who missed appointments while I was away.

Thank you all for your patience, kindness, and love through all of this. I appreciate you more than you know, and I truly miss our chats and the time we spend together. 🩷

I just want you to know how hard it was to come up with these worlds and post them.

To my Marley’s salon supporters,

I wanted to take a moment to share something personal with you all. After many appointments with my doctor and a few visits to the ER this summer — doing test after test with no answers — we finally got some clarity after a 48-hour heart holter monitor I wore last weekend. There are still more tests ahead, including some more in-depth blood work and other follow-ups, to try and figure out what’s really been going on.

I’ve been dealing with both health and mental health issues since the spring. I’ve tried to slow down a little, but truthfully, I’ve been stubborn — always putting others first and pushing through because I care so deeply about all of you. My doctor has been encouraging me to take time off for months now, and I haven’t been the best at listening… but it’s time I finally do.

With that being said, I’ll be taking at least 4–6 weeks off work — doctor’s orders — to focus on my health and get the answers I need. I love my job and the amazing relationships I’ve built over the years, but if I don’t take care of myself now, I risk ending up in the hospital — and that’s something I want to avoid at all costs.

Please know that this isn’t a decision I take lightly. In 19 years, I’ve only ever had to cancel hair appointments day of, three times. Stepping back is incredibly hard for me, but it’s necessary if I want to be able to continue doing what I love for years to come.

I can’t thank you enough for the love, patience, and understanding you’ve shown me. It truly means the world. My goal is to come back feeling stronger and more balanced so I can continue giving you all the best version of myself — both behind the chair and in life.

My life has been hectic, I’m quite drained out so I’m going to be taking some time off this summer and fall. I appreciate your patience, love and support.
