Well I'm done my first week at my new job in Gp!! My feet hurt but I'm doing good.

Breaking in a new pair of steel toes hurt my feet this week, but I'm loving the job.

This coming week I work this Wednesday than I'm off to Cold lake for the tattoo convention...

I'm happy to be tattooing again.. I've missed it..

And truthfully when I'm in the booth at Bombs away in Cold lake I'll be back doing what I'm meant to do again.

I know alot of ppl are waiting for my return to GP and believe me when I'm back from there I'm gonna be opening up again!!!! That's a promise...

Sorry for the late post, I've been trying to get back to all your messages to those who have been asking.

I've been asked alot lately if I quit?

To answer that respectively, "No"

I've taken on a new job in construction here in Grande Prairie....

I have been saving up for something better than just a shop here in GP!!!

A new direction.

I wanna make tattooing fun again and if your not developing something new and exciting for clients than why try..

After all this is about the clients and not the egos of artist who think they are worth more just cause they can charge more!!

$30.00 Is the total cost of a set up for a normal sized tattoo today.. that's all supplies.. Needle cartridges, ink barriers everything!!!! And that's if your using the good stuff...

So than you gotta be asking why am I paying a alot for art? And truthfully it comes down to the shop owners greed.. they take 50% off the artist doing the work!!! For what reason? Cause as an artist your using there space? Some shops will provide equipment? Some provide just the barriers?

But you as an artist, only earn 50%!!!!!

But what's 50% if your not working making the owner money!!! And that's when you start seeing competition between shops. Who is better, who who who?

Bashing the other shops!!! Putting artists on blast!!!

SEE EGO OF ONE SHOP OWNER MAKES IT WORST FOR ALL..

Alot of artists now are finding ways to cut out the egotistical Owners!! There finding there own spaces to work from for $500.00 to $700.00 a month. And they pocket all there money!!! So why are they still charging alot still?

There taught to do that!!! Charge 165hr or more!! From shop owners who took advantage of them for However long they were there!! Easy money when your rent is, low and overhead costs monthly are less as well.

But here's the thing.. I get why gp has 30 plus shops.. it's also cause a tattoo school is in the city. And they supply over 5 students that I know of a semester!!!

There told there artists when they leave. And most shops in Gp won't even touch them? So they open private. Cause now they moved here and wanna live here in an already over populated industry.. some do get work in shops . They build there clients on low rates.

But most of them stay and open private..

I know of how many right now in shops in town or work outta private? Is it wrong?

Art is art. And I never put art down!!! Art is life for the artist who truly loves it..

My point being Grande Prairie has a problem and it's time to fix it!!! From egotistical shop owners to artists being ripped off. I see a solution in all this.

And it can work for everyone.

See using Social media can only help you so much.. grande Prarie uses a fb page to gain traction"grande Prarie tattoo"? But all I see on there is artists fighting and ppl saying go here!!! There the best!!!

But truthfully what's best for someone isn't what's best for you the clients in most cases..
Also again there is a person who runs the page and there not monitoring that page as good as they should.. ppl bashing out artists and artists bashing artists.. to me its funny..

Hurting someone's livelihood posting using, "Annomously" hahahaha what a joke..

Anonymous to who? The artist there bashing or to jump on the bandwagon and hurt another tattoo business who is trying?

It's entertaining sometimes the things I see on that page. It's actually disgusting..

Want good work trust your gut. Trust the voice of ppls work you see around you.. if you see someone with ink you like, ask where they got it? Most ppl will tell you. And actually like compliments when you ask, cause they know good work when they see it.

Trusting a fb page based off how many post go to that shop? Isn't right. Hang out in shops get to know your artists. If they seem like they don't care than maybe it's not for you. Go somewhere where your art is cared for. Not saying thats also a solution as well cause some shops are sh*tty to deal with here.

I've heard the horror stories.

Gp has alot of good ink. Just sometimes not the great personalities that come with that ink.. know what I'm saying.. lol

I'd rather get a tattoo from someone who takes the time and cares for what they do than being treated like a number. Or if you feel like your kissing ass to an already ego than maybe your not in the right place.

If you came this far than I hope I entertained you for a few mins. But the truth has to be spoken sometimes and I got a big mouth and speak what I see and hear from clients.

Again If I offended you than go tell on me!!! Hahahaha

Late post but I wanted to say something to all those who are watching...

I won't be posting as much now till I come back from The tattoo convention coming up.. I have started a new job in construction? Why construction idk that either? But hey I'm going to get out there and have fun trying..

I haven't been working cause of the diabetes for those who are snitching on me!!!!!

I just found out that I'm sick, this past month since we closed the shop in High Prairie ive been battling diabetes. I haven't been working I've only been posting flash asking for you to grab them up for when I come back from Cold lake when I'm reopening up Lighthouse!!

And for those who have been watching me Keep watching as I bring the costs down even more cause I FU***NG CAN!!!!!
