I would like to make sure my clients are aware that not all insurance companies will cover Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, and some will only cover (Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture).
I do not do direct billing for acupuncture, as you will need to submit this on your own.
If your insurance company is not listed on this list, then I do not know if it will cover the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture or not.
Thank you!

Shenmen Point – A special point for Stress, Anxiety, and Insomnia
There are two Shenmen points. One is on the ear and the other one is near our wrist crease, which belongs to the heart meridian.
Shenmen (HT7) means “Spirit Gate”, which means a gate/door to access our spirit/mind/emotion. When you needle or do acupressure on this point, it can help open the gate/door to relieve the energy blockage for our spirit/mind/emotion.
Shenmen (HT7) is one of the main points on the Heart meridian. It can help nourish the blood and cool/clam down the internal fire. Therefore, it is a very good point for the mind, emotion, and heart-related issues such as stress, anxiety, and insomnia, palpitation, etc.
This point is also good for any ulnar nerve related issues. For any numbing/tingling in the pinky and/or ring finger

Electroacupuncture for Nerve Healing After Trauma
If you've been in a car accident and are dealing with neuropathy — burning, tingling, numbness, or weakness — you're not alone. This kind of nerve damage can be deeply frustrating and painful.
One powerful tool for recovery? Electroacupuncture. By using gentle electrical stimulation through acupuncture points, this treatment can:
⚡ Stimulate nerve repair
⚡ Reduce pain and inflammation
⚡ Improve blood flow to injured areas
⚡ Support the body's natural healing process
It’s not just needles — it’s nervous system support on a whole new level. 🧘♀️💫
Whether you're newly injured or still dealing with symptoms months (or years) later, electroacupuncture may help reconnect the pieces.

The vagus nerve is a key part of the parasympathetic nervous system, which regulates critical functions like heart rate, mood and stress responses, digestion and inflammation.
🧠 Acupuncture and the Vagus Nerve: Key Connections
Studies suggest acupuncture can stimulate vagal activity, leading to various therapeutic effects.
One of my favourite ear points is called Point Zero, this spot is is innervated by the Vagus Nerve and can have an effect on regulating activity.
Point Zero is considered a homeostatic point, said to balance the body's energy and restore harmony between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
