FREE HAIRCUT FOR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS🚒

As we welcome the end of a particularly harsh winter season, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the volunteer firefighters from Ilderton, Arva, ColdStream, and Poplar Hill Fire Departments for their tireless efforts in keeping our community and rural areas safe.

For the month of May, we are pleased to offer complimentary haircuts to all volunteer firefighters as a small token of appreciation for their selfless service and dedication.

A recent experience with one of our regular clients, a volunteer firefighter, has left a lasting impression. He was in our chair when an emergency call came in, and he promptly left to respond, without hesitation. This selfless act is a testament to the character of our local heroes.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to all volunteer firefighters for their hard work and commitment to our community. We invite you to visit us for a complimentary haircut, and we look forward to serving you. Please feel free to make an appointment or simply walk in, and we will take care of the rest.

Yesterday’s Accident

Hello all, I received a call from a lady inquiring if anyone in Ilderton had found a Pink iPhone. It belongs to her friend who was involved in the car accident in town and is currently hospitalized.

The phone appears to be turned off and is not ringing, so if anyone finds it, please notify me so I may return it to her friend. Thank you.

Gift cards for groceries would be an incredibly thoughtful gesture.

This morning was disheartening when a friend and gym acquaintance shared with me that she was unable to afford groceries.

As a father of two girls, it would be my worst nightmare to discover that, despite raising my children to pursue education and a career in the healthcare industry, they were unable to afford basic necessities like groceries.

It is extremely sad that this happens here in CANADA where some healthcare workers are in this position. It is astonishing that this is a reality for some individuals in our community, and it serves as a poignant reminder that this could be the situation of our next-door neighbor.

I am not one to seek attention or publicity, but this morning's conversation with my gym friend compelled me to take action, driven by my personality and a sense of decency as a human being to help her during this difficult period in her life.

Therefore, I kindly request that, if you were considering purchasing a Christmas gift for me, whether as a client of my barbershop services, a Facebook friend, or a community member who frequents my shop, you would instead consider buying a grocery gift card. I will ensure that these gift cards are passed along to this individual who needs it more than me, 🙏🙏

🚙 🧼 CARWASH FUNDRAISER 🫧 🚙

It began with a simple gratitude giveaway and evolved into a fundraiser, thanks to the support and request of some remarkable local individuals with outstanding intentions.

The owners of the Ilderton Coin Carwash have generously agreed to let us utilize their facilities for this fundraiser free of charge this Sunday from 12-4pm at the Ilderton Coin Carwash.

We have a fantastic group of local youths volunteering to assist us, so please be patient and understanding.

We are charging $10 per carwash, and 100% of the funds raised will go directly towards purchasing school supplies for children in need.

The amazing local pizza shop, 4Pizza Sake and Grill23, will be providing our volunteers with a meal as a token of appreciation.

Please come out and support our fundraiser to make this initiative a success.

We extend our gratitude to Roxanne and Rachel for organizing this event, and to the Ilderton Carwash for their generosity.

Hello to all the great people of Ilderton and anyone else who uses the Carwash…

Today someone left a lovely note with an angry face emoji on my windshield😁

I hate to do this especially on Facebook but this is not the first time so I just wanted to share and let everyone know who uses the Carwash that I do not own the Carwash, I rent the space upfront (The Barbershop)

Yes ive been parking my vehicle in the bay that’s out of service to make parking easier for our clients since the parking in the road isn’t available.

I’ve been getting notes and occasionally someone will walk in and yell before asking for help, I don’t mind at all when you have a concern or need change for the carwash to stop in but FYI I do not own the Carwash and I have passed on your concerns to the owners who are waiting on parts to repair it.

FUNDRAISER UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the cause, this was not only about raising money but more about the Arnold family to know that we’re all thinking about you and your family during this difficult times..

I was very grateful to have raise $1425.00 and we hope this can at least cover some of the cost of travelling back and forth to spend time with Hannah.

I may not be a charity, but when I meet good people facing unimaginable challenges, it’s impossible for me to stand by and do nothing.

That’s why on *Sunday, September 22nd, from 11 AM to 5 PM* , I’m offering Pay What You Want haircuts, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to support the Arnold family.

Hanna Arnold is in hospice all the way in Milton as it is the nearest place for children and the Arnold family has been traveling back and forth to be with their precious Hannah, who is transitioning from earthly angel to Heavenly angle with a rare neurodegenerative disease called BPAN. This fundraiser will help them manage the costs and give them some relief during this incredibly tough time.

Please come by, spread the word, and donate generously. Let’s rally together as a community to give this family the support they need. Every haircut, every dollar will make a difference.
