A little year in review …..

Am I a little late in posting this ? Perhaps, but 2025 has come like a cold backed spicy mare. Am I’m here for it. My first two weeks have been nothing but very busy for me, so it’s nice to have a quick reflection on my 2024 year for MPE.

First thing; yes I am still here ……. Just mostly in the off-line physical world, not so much social media.

Balance is bu****it, and I have not yet found a system for fitting all the wonderful things in my personal and professional life…. And then be able to post on social media. Perhaps I will be more active this year, perhaps not. To those of you that can do all the things, I raise my glass to you (it’s more like glasses cause who doesn’t have 3 liquids on the go nowadays).

I am still here driving around central Alberta on most weekends to offer Equine Sport Therapy with massage, stretching, and saddle fitting assessments.

Thank you to all of my clients this past year for continuing to fill my life with horses and allow me to be on your journey with your equine partner.

✨Discipline: Reining Foundation, competed in Cattle Sorting for 8 years, now dabbling in barrels and xtreme cowboy racing.

🖤 Fun Fact: you wouldn’t know it, but in 2020 she broke 6 Spinous processes of her thoracic vertebrae (her withers). It has not held her back for a second.

She is the mare that has shaped me as the rider and person I am today. She has not been easy (and still sometimes isn’t), but she has shown me that leaving the BS at the door of the barn, and to be present is the biggest gift in the world.

𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒

It’s common to see Equine Bodyworkers, Animal Bodyworkers and even Human Bodyworkers have a lot of different modalities under their belt.

There is a few different reasons for that, one being, personal preference. Whether it is human or animal, you can (and are allowed) to prefer one modality to another. If this facilitates the healing that is best for your body and soul, then we are all better for it.

Different modalities can also benefit different situations. A first time nervous and flighty horse could greatly benefit from aromatherapy to start the healing process and relax the nervous system. Other times and in my experience, horses that are not the biggest fan of being touched by hands, will fall in love with magnetic therapy.

Bodyworkers collect modalities as different tools in the tool box. So we then are better able to serve each job with their own tool.
