It’s been a tragic week here at
Our favourite Bootsy girl has crossed the rainbow bridge.

Now if you know us well, you know Bootsy girl isn’t actually our dog, but a dear friends pup.

Boots was a close friend of our boy Eli before who passed away and we have been lucky enough to dog sit often for Boots.

My girls loved boots like a best friend and fearless protector. She was a girl you could count on to watch over your kids, provide unlimited snuggles and enjoy the finer things in life. She was a gentle giant and we loved her like our own.

This week, she peacefully passed in her sleep while staying at our home and to say we are devastated would be an understatement.

She lived a good long life and we anticipated this day, but are still blown away at how soon it happened.

So if your waiting on a package, a quote or any information from us, I will be back in the office on Monday and Thank your for your patience - while we take a moment to grieve a life lived and a life lost.

I’ve added 5 major lessons I’ve learned from our fav girl these last few years.

1. Don’t go anywhere you don’t want to go. If the vibes are off, plant your feet and become completely unmovable.

2. Walk slow and sniff the flowers. There’s no prize for getting there first. Stop. Sniff. Wander. Enjoy the good stuff.

3. Never turn down a snack. You never know when the next opportunity will present itself. 😂

4. Love your people fiercely. Follow them around, check on them regularly, and make sure they never have to p*e alone.

5. Take the nap. The chores will still be there later. A sunny patch on the floor might not be.

We already miss you an excruciating amount Bootsy Baby.

Scent is a fresh Japanese peppermint.

How cool does this look?

This just hit the curing rack and will be ready in 4-6 weeks in limited batch sizes.

Ever wonder what small batch actually is?

It’s the process of hand measuring, melting, blending, pouring, cutting, labeling by hand.

There are not likely any factory operations behind your local small batch companies.

What does that look like?

Watch me cut a slab soap into loaves; this process makes it so that I can cut the loaves into individual bars.

Yes, I cut all soaps by hand, and that’s not all!

What a fun day!

I don’t usually work Saturday’s but when the called and said they were low on our products, we decided to call up some friends a make a day of it!

There’s so many things to do, we didn’t even get close to hitting everything we wanted.

Today we had a picnic at the Park, learned the pump track & stopped in for an ice cream and some sourdough baking and artisan goods!

We left with full bellies and full hearts!

We will see you at the annual Cadomin market in early September!

Does Gingerbread fit into Fall or Christmas?

For me…. It’s both!

A Natural gingerbread scent with essential oils of Ginger, Cloves & Cinnamon.

Curious to how this one will look, as it went to trace while still in the mixing bucket 🫠
