When Radiesse is used undiluted, it provides structure and volume, much like a traditional filler.

When diluted with sterile saline, it spreads more evenly beneath the skin. The focus shifts away from adding fullness and toward supporting collagen production, firmness, elasticity, dermal thickness, and crepey texture.

A 1:1 dilution may still provide some volume support. Hyperdilution, often between 1:2 and 1:4, is used when we want to treat a larger surface area and focus on overall skin quality.

But here’s the thing: dramatic peeling isn't necessarily the goal.

Some dryness or flaking may happen, depending on your skin condition and at-home care. You may also feel a tingly or prickly sensation during treatment, followed by a sunburn-like appearance. Any peeling or dryness usually starts around 2 to 3 days after treatment and can last up to 7 days.
